We know it’s September. The cats would like to remind you that deadlines are a human construct.

So, fashionably late, we’re finally celebrating our June adoptions! These lucky cats traded lounge life for forever homes and we couldn’t be happier for them.

We’d love to say the delay was because we were busy doing important things, but realistically, someone was sitting on the keyboard, someone else knocked our to-do list on the floor and the rest demanded snacks.

Better late than never, right?

Congratulations to all of our June cats and their new families! Every adoption makes room for another cat to join us at the lounge and get their own chance at finding a forever home.

September is packed with more ways to hang out with the cats. 🐾

This month at Catcetera, you can stretch alongside adoptable cats during Cat Yoga or Chair Yoga, get creative at (Cat) Nip & Paint, swap your latest reads at our Book Swap, or slow things down during Mindful Movement. We also have Children’s Story Time, Quiet Hours, 18+ evenings, LGBTQIA+ Youth Night, and more happening throughout the month.

Need to get some work done but would rather have cats as your coworkers? Our Work From Home option lets you bring your laptop, use our WiFi and spend a little extra time working from the lounge with plenty of feline supervision.

Plus, don’t forget about our weekly Thursday senior special. Guests 55+ can enjoy two hours in the lounge for the price of one hour.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing morning, a creative night out, or simply an excuse to spend more time with cats, there’s something for you this September.

Happy Ginger Cat Appreciation Day to the orange cats who keep life interesting. 🧡🐾

Whether they’re making biscuits, getting into something they definitely shouldn’t be, demanding attention or somehow finding the most ridiculous place to nap, our ginger cats bring plenty of personality to the lounge.

Today is all about celebrating these sweet, silly, occasionally chaotic orange friends and all the joy they bring with them.

Come give our ginger cats a little extra love during your next visit. And if one happens to steal your heart, some of them might be looking for a forever home, too. 🐱🧡

When a job requires 0 cats, but you somehow end up with an entire construction crew. 🔨🐾

We were just trying to put together a new bathroom cabinet.

The cats had other ideas.

Every screw needed to be inspected. Every instruction manual required a thorough sniff test. Every tool was apparently a toy. Quality control is very important around here.

The cabinet got assembled, and the feline supervisors approved the final result.

Cat Yoga at Catcetera is not your average yoga class.

Our guided flow is designed to be interactive, which means the cats are encouraged to get involved. They might wander across your mat, supervise your downward dog, curl up beside you, or decide your pose is the perfect opportunity for some attention.

Come for the guided flow, but stay for the cat cuddles. After class, you’ll have time to relax and hang out with the cats in the lounge.

Happy National Dog Day to all the good boys and girls out there!

We asked the cats if they wanted to help us celebrate, but they reminded us of one small problem.

We don’t have any dogs.

We do, however, have plenty of adorable, adoptable cats who would be happy to fill that pet-shaped hole in your life. Similar number of legs. Much better at fitting in boxes.

So, if National Dog Day has you thinking about adding a four-legged friend to your family, might we suggest considering one of ours instead?

Current spice level: Mild. 🌶️ Check back after his nap. 😴

Finnegan is one of our orange collar cats, which means he sometimes needs a little extra space and patience. Our orange collar friends might greet you with a hiss, a growl, or the occasional swipe when they’re feeling unsure, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want connection.

The best way to win them over? Let them set the pace. Respect their boundaries, give them time, and you might just earn their trust.

And we promise, there’s something extra special about being chosen by a cat who makes you work for it.

If you’ve visited Catcetera, you’ve probably spotted Felix asleep on the bean bag in the middle of the lounge. 💤🐾

He’s so committed to napping that he occasionally snores, so naturally we thought we’d capture some Felix ASMR for everyone to enjoy.

Then Mikkel noticed the camera.

If you’ve ever met Mikkel, you know he has serious main character energy. The second he realized the attention wasn’t on him, he made sure everyone knew he had something to say.

Felix slept through the entire performance, of course.

Honestly, this interaction sums them up perfectly. One is a professional napper. The other is a professional yapper.

At Catcetera, our cats don't just inspire the art, they create it!
Here's how Nip & Paint works:
Guests add globs of paint to a canvas
and seal it inside a plastic bag.
≥ We sprinkle catnip on top.
Then the real artists get to work, rolling, pouncing, stretching, and rubbing all over the canvas to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
Every painting is completely unique because every cat has their own creative style. Some prefer bold, energetic brushstrokes (or pawstrokes), while others take a more abstract approach.
