This is National Farriers week July 5 through July 11. Is there a farrier (mentor) that made a big difference in your education in becoming a farrier or for a horseowner: a farrier that helped you with your horse(s)?

A little life update from Cimarron Farrier Services

First- If you currently have appointments set with me, I am planning on keeping them, as long as you are! 😁

After a lot of thought and planning, I’ll be making a big move from South Dakota to Illinois by the end of August. This is an exciting new chapter for me, but it also comes with the bittersweet part of saying goodbye to the amazing horses and clients I’ve had the privilege of working with here.

I am incredibly grateful for every horse, every barn, and every person who has trusted me with their hoof care over the years. It has truly been an honor to be part of your horses’ journeys.

For those of you looking for continued hoof care, I will be working with Mari Mayo of MM Farriery & Horseshoeing LLC to help transition clients who would like to continue their horses’ care with a trusted farrier.

Thank you all for supporting my small business, trusting me with your horses, and being such an important part of this chapter. I’ll always be cheering for my South Dakota horses from afar. 💜🐴

To all my clients wondering where your arena footing went… It’s in my eyes, ears, nose, truck, tool box, and probably my lunch. So if anyone needs dirt today, just follow me around 😂😅

About a week ago I was apparently due for a good wallop! It had been over a year so I’m considering myself lucky in this line of work. Just an occupational hazard. And now I get a front-row seat to one of nature’s coolest processes: watching the human body repair itself while my thigh cycles through the entire color wheel. Today’s color: chartreuse!
