How does your Horizon dog land in a Championship tier?
Meet the Floating Bubble.
Your Bracket Average is simple: (Round 1 + Round 2 + Season Average) ÷ 3. All three count equally. Then every Open Horizon dog from every location is ranked together, lowest to highest, and split into seven tiers.
Why "floating"? The cutoffs aren't fixed distances. They're recalculated every year from the actual field, so the field sets the bar, not a number on a page. That also means there's no reason to jump to a break. No holding back to stay under a line, no stressing about a division cutoff. Go out, do your best, and let the field sort itself.
A few things to know:
- Bracket Average sets your tier only. It doesn't effect titles or skill points. You still get DOUBLE title points all weekend long based off the regular season divisions.
- Open Tier 1 is the lowest Bracket Averages, Tier 7 the highest.
- LAP and LEGEND run the same system with 6 tiers.
- Top 24 dogs in each Open Tier and Top 8 in each Legend/Lap Tier move on to the Bracket Tournament rounds.
