Helen Woodward Animal Center is a unique, private non-profit organization in San Diego County that has been committed to the philosophy of people helping animals and animals helping people for over 40 years. Located on 12 acres in Rancho Santa Fe, California, our nationally recognized Center provides a variety of services that benefit the community through educational and therapeutic programs for

people, and humane care and adoption for animals. We are a no-kill facility that receives no government funding and relies heavily on tax-deductible contributions from private donors to continue our life-saving mission.

On September 24, animal lovers everywhere will come together to raise awareness for pet adoption and help more orphan pets find the loving homes they deserve. 💛🐾

The 21st Annual Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon is taking place at Del Mar Dog Beach on Sunday, September 13, from 8 AM–2 PM! 🏄‍♂️🐶

Come cheer on the surfing pups and enjoy summer fun featuring interactive vendor booths, a canine costume contest, music, and more!

This event is FREE! Donations are encouraged and directly support the pets and programs at Helen Woodward Animal Center!

This is sweet Bennington (previously Arthur at the Center)! His family welcomed him home on June 20, and he has been settling in wonderfully ever since.

Bennington absolutely loves running in circles around the apartment, but he’s also the biggest snuggle bug who wants to cuddle with his mom and dad as much as possible. He loves watching his mom cook and happily sits at her feet while she’s in the kitchen. And when he’s not snuggling or keeping an eye on dinner, you can usually find him playing with his favorite toys, some of which have even made their way into bed with him at night! 🐾❤️
