We are working with Room 4 One More rescue in Oceanside to help this little girl named Rosie. She is a very fearful pup and we are working on obedience and building confidence in her. This is our first pack walk together. She is doing a great job so far. We will keep you updated.

This boy is almost done with his board and train. He came to build his confidence and learn that the world and sounds and people are not scary. He has done an excellent job. He maneuvered through the market today with ease. Look at those soft eye and soft ears and his happy mouth. He is such a good boy!

This was Leo almost 4 weeks ago. Super stressed. Unable to lay down on the drive from his house to my house. Now he gets in and relaxes and enjoys his ride because he know we are going on an adventure! He has co.e such a long way.

2 weeks ago there was no way he relaxed while the train went by... let alone asking him to settle. A lot of exposure work and desensitization work went into his ability to exist and enjoy time at the farmers market with us. I will have to find the before video and share it.

These boys make this look easy, but it didn't happen overnight.

This is place work with the door wide open. For a new dog, an open door can be incredibly tempting. The outside world is exciting, and many dogs have learned that doors mean "go!"

Instead, we're teaching something much more valuable: impulse control.

By learning to calmly hold place, even with the door open, these dogs are practicing self-control instead of acting on impulse. They learn that they don't have to rush through every doorway or make every decision for themselves.

This goes hand in hand with threshold work. Whether it's a front door, kennel door, gate, or car door, I want my dogs looking to their handler for direction before moving through. That simple habit builds communication, trust, and leadership.

People often think obedience is about teaching commands. In reality, it's about creating a dog that can think clearly, make good choices, and remain calm even when exciting things are happening around them.

These boys are seasoned pros now, and it shows. Calm isn't something they're forced intoโ€”it's become a habit.๐Ÿพ

Did you know your e collar has a light on it for night time walks?

Leo used to be so nervous around strangers and out in public he wouldn't take treats from anyone. He has come such a long way during his program with us. This is just one of several people at the tractor supply that he took treats from today.
