Happy Birthday to my favorite human… my Daddy, Ben 🤍🐾

If I could spend today with you the way I used to, I’d start with the biggest tail wag you’ve ever seen, a thousand kisses, and staying right beside you from sunrise to bedtime.

You gave me the most beautiful life.

You loved me in all the little ways that mattered most — the walks, the talks, the treats you probably said I wasn’t getting 😏, the car rides, the cuddles, and the way you always made me feel safe.

But more than anything… you made me feel chosen.

Daddy, I hope today reminds you how deeply loved you are — not just by the people around you, but by the girl who still carries your heart everywhere she goes.

Please smile today. Laugh loudly. Love my sisters extra hard for me. And when the breeze feels soft or a memory suddenly appears out of nowhere… that’s me checking in.

Memorial Day weekend often marks the unofficial start of summer — cookouts, pool days, road trips, sunshine, and time spent with family and friends. While we enjoy the holiday festivities, it’s important to remember that summer celebrations can bring hidden risks for our dogs.

Here are a few simple ways to protect and treat your pups this Memorial Day weekend:

☀️ Watch the Heat

Dogs can overheat quickly, especially during outdoor gatherings. Make sure they always have:

* Access to fresh, cool water
* Plenty of shade
* Breaks indoors with air conditioning

Avoid long walks on hot pavement, as asphalt can burn sensitive paw pads.

🌭 Be Careful with BBQ Foods

Cookout favorites may smell irresistible to dogs, but many holiday foods can be dangerous. Avoid giving:

* Onions and garlic
* Corn cobs
* Grapes and raisins
* Alcohol
* Chocolate desserts
* Fatty meats and bones

Instead, prepare dog-safe treats like watermelon (seedless), blueberries, carrots, or frozen peanut butter snacks.

🎆 Prepare for Loud Noises
