Dr. Rebecca Tudor graduated from the North Carolina State, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She completed an internship at the University of G

eorgia, and then returned to NCSU for her surgery residency. Dr. Tudor is part of a select group of veterinary surgeons worldwide who are boarded in both small and large animal surgery. Dr. Tudor founded Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists in 2002 with the purpose of delivering the surgical excellence and personal, compassionate service she would want for her own pets. In her spare time, Dr. Tudor enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, working out and reading.

✨ Another successful day in the OR for TVSS at one of our favs...Heartwood Animal Hospital!!! 🩺🐾

We’re so proud of this incredible team and the way they continue to show up for their patients every day!

Today also marked the beginning of a very exciting new chapter as our main surgery tech at Heartwood, Jessyca, heads out on maternity leave! 💕

We’re going to miss her around the OR, but we couldn’t be happier for her and her growing family!!!

Bernadette had a TPLO performed 8 weeks ago, and just got the "all clear" from Dr. Tudor to go back to playing and being her fancy self!!! 🙌🙌🙌

Dr. Tudor, and Dr. MacKenzie Whyte, take great pride in making decisions based on the premise of what they would want for their own pets.

Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists, with Dr. Patrick Loftin at the wheel, provides specialty surgical treatment for your pet, at your local animal hospital. This unique practice ensures that you and your pet receive high quality care in the comfort and convenience of familiar surroundings.

Both practices are owned, and led, by Dr. Rebecca Tudor, a double board-certified veterinary surgeon with more than 20 years of experience that has served the Triangle and surrounding communities since 2002.

It was all "ears" for Smokey today, who underwent JPS surgery (Juvenile P***c Symphysiodesis), a minimally invasive, preventative operation used to lower the risk of severe hip dysplasia in young puppies. The cut off age is a strict 16 weeks, which means Kyra took advantage of getting to snuggle with this 🥰ADORABLE 🥰15 week old German Shepherd pup!!!
