Welcome back to another Daycare Spotlight! This week's star is Bobby! 🩵 His tail should come with a warning, it never stops wagging and it wags hard! When he's not trying to make friends with everyone, human or dog, you can usually find him napping or watching a little TV. We love this sweet old guy! 🐕

We’re proud to serve our community and be a part of the Pit Stop Voucher Program! 🐾

Without the Pit Stop program, we would have never met our friend Davey Jones!

Congratulations to Friends of Wake County Animal Center on 10 years of making a difference! 🎉

We are turning 10 years old as a non-profit this month. To celebrate we want to share some of our success stories with all of you. Our Pit Stop Program started in the fall of 2018 and is a low cost spay neuter voucher program for Pit Bull owners. Since the program began we have helped fix over 1,000 Pit Bulls here in Wake County; directly reducing the amount of unwanted pets in our community.

One of those adorable pups is Davey Jones. Here is what his family had to say about their experience with the program.
"Our experience with the Pit Stop program was a god send. Our sweet pup was found wandering the woods with no family and needed some vet care ASAP. We were able to get Davey Jones fixed easily and inexpensively and were so happy with the experience we found his new permanent vet. Everyone was so friendly and the process was smooth! Davey Jones is a now a happy healthy boy!"

Over the last 10 years we've found a majority of people want to fix their pets but the largest barrier is often a financial one. We are so happy to have been able to help so many families with an affordable option so they can be part of the solution to unwanted pet overpopulation in our community.
