🚨 URGENT FOSTER PLEA 🚨 Calling anyone with a roof, love to give, and space for a small dog who needs you. We are currently working with TWO different shelters on two separate small-dog hoarding/cruelty cases, and both have asked Longleaf to be ready to take dogs into rescue. We want to say yes - but we CAN’T do it without foster homes.

Fostering costs you nothing. Longleaf provides the supplies, food, and veterinary care. You provide a safe place to land, love, and a little patience while they learn what life is supposed to feel like.

You just need to:

♥️Live within about an hour of Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill
♥️Be able to drive to vet appointments and adoption events when needed
♥️Give a small dog a safe place to stay while we find their forever home

That’s it. You don’t need rescue experience. You don’t need a perfect house. You just need a roof and a willingness to help.

These dogs have already been through enough. If the shelters call, we want to be able to say YES.

Please foster. Please share. A foster home quite literally opens the door for us to save another life.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!

Hi there! I'm Gwyneth, a sweet, 8-year-old senior lady who is ready to find my true forever home. I am a fully grown, pint-sized companion weighing in at a perfect 24 pounds—which means I am just the right size to fit perfectly right on your lap!
I was previously adopted, but through no fault of my own, my owner was unable to continue caring for me. It’s been a little confusing, but I haven't let it break my spirit. I am still full of charm, life, and so much devotion.

Why you'll fall in love with me:
👤 Your Loyal Shadow: I absolutely adore attention and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you.

🛋️ Cuddle Connoisseur: Warm laps, soft beds, and gentle petting are my absolute favorite things in the world.

✨ Easygoing & Loving: My past experiences have taught me to truly appreciate the simple joys of life. I have so much unconditional love left to give!

Despite my age, I still have plenty of s***k and a whole lot of life ahead of me. If you are looking for a gentle, affectionate best friend who will love you unconditionally, look no further—I'm your girl! Let's make my next move my absolute last.

Update: Please help us bring him home! If you're near Bruce Garner Rd by the Wilson Place neighborhood, please check your sheds, under decks, etc in case he is trapped. He has been missing since Sept 7th and we can't find him anywhere! 😢

Description: Jinx is an 11yo Siamese. He is much larger than this photo now, as he recently has been cured of hypo-thyroidism. He is extremely smart and comes when called. He is indoor/outdoor due to our doggy door, but has never been gone longer than 24 hours.
