Are you passionate about animals and seeking an exciting opportunity to work with dogs? Join our passionate team at Dog Holiday Resort, where your love for animals will flourish, and countless tails will wag with joy!

Dog Holiday Resort is currently hiring part-time Dog Resort Counselors who are eager to join our dedicated team. While experience is preferred, we are open to training the right candidates who possess a genuine love for animals. Employees who demonstrate exceptional reliability, dedication, and a strong work ethic shall be rewarded, including raises and promotion to team leadership positions.

If you meet the following criteria and are ready to embark on a fulfilling role, we encourage you to apply:

-Love working with animals: Your passion for our furry friends is essential to provide them with the care and attention they deserve.
-Reliability: We value punctuality and dependability, as our dogs rely on us for their well-being.
-Positive, team-oriented attitude: Working effectively with other team members is crucial to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
-Availability: You should be willing to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed, as dog holidays know no bounds!
-Physical fitness: This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor tasks.
-Oral and Written Communication Skills: You may be required to communicate with our guests’ owners, providing them with updates or assisting with inquiries.

Dog Resort Counselor Duties:

-Front Desk: Check dogs in and out, provide customer service in person, online, and by phone.
-Food Service: Distribute meals and beverages to our dog guests.
-Event Planning: Coordinate recreational and playtime activities for our dog guests.
-Security: Ensure the safety and security of our dog guests, as their well-being is our number one priority.
-Water Coach/Lifeguard: Manage water activities for our dog guests at our in-ground pool.
-Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness in our guest rooms throughout our guests' stay.
Facilities: Maintain the common areas of our facility.
-Concierge: Interface with our dog guests and their owners to ensure a five-star experience at our resort.

Have a Drivers License
Have reliable transportation
Live a reasonable distance from DHR
Be Energetic, Motivated & Hard Working
Have a flexible schedule

Position will require the following;

Extreme Reliability
Maintaining a Safe,Secure and Clean environment
Cleaning including mopping
Being on your feet
Possibly dealing with clients
Checking in dogs arriving and departing
Possibly answering phone
Work effectively with team members
Work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed

Employees that prove to be reliable, dedicated and hardworking may have the opportunity for advancement including raises, team leadership.

Experience not required, but preferred!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Facility is sanitized multiple times per day as it always has been. Limited contact with clients and maintaining distance via checkout counter. Generally clients are in to drop off or pick up one at a time as well.

Does your pup have cabin fever and have a lot of energy? We are OPEN regular hours for boarding and daycare, Please give us a call to reserve a spot! We would love to see everyone. Our facility is sanitized constantly, as always. We offer curb side service if you are not comfortable coming inside the building.
