On an 85°F day, the inside of a car can reach 120°F in just 30 minutes, even with windows cracked. Pets can suffer from heatstroke, organ damage, and death.

If you can't bring your pet inside with you, leave them home.

Pets can accidentally start fires and are often overlooked in emergency planning. A few tips:

- Use flameless candles.
- Place a pet rescue sticker on your window.
- Include pets in your fire escape plan.
- Secure young pets when you leave.

Stay safe out there.

Summer is the peak season for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes.

These pests aren't just annoying. They carry diseases that can seriously affect your pet's health.

- Fleas cause skin irritation, ingestion can lead to tapeworms in your pet and if gone untreated, can cause infestations in your home.
- Ticks transmit many diseases including Lyme.
- Mosquitoes spread heartworm disease.

Year-round prevention is the best protection. Need a refill? Call us at (919) 851-8387 today!

Happy National Kitten Day!

Is there anything better than a tiny ball of fur with oversized ears and endless curiosity? We don't think so.

If you've recently welcomed a kitten into your home, make sure to schedule their first vet visit for vaccines, deworming, and a full checkup.
