Have you visited our wonderful kitties at our Apex and Morrisville PetSmart adoption centers lately? Our adoption condos are filled with amazing felines just waiting for someone to fall in love with them!
Some of our kitties have been waiting for quite some time for their special someone to come along. Each one deserves a loving home, a cozy spot on the couch, and a family to call their own. They have so much love to give — they just need someone to give them a chance!

🧡 Meet Mordi … your new orange crush! 🧡

This handsome little orange tabby is about 5–6 months old and full of love! Mordi is a sweet, affectionate boy who adores butt scratches and will happily purr you to sleep (and serenade you all night long! 😻). He gets along great with dogs, and his current favorite pastime is chasing his string toy. We think he’d also love having another kitty friend to play, wrestle, and share adventures with!

💔 Two kitten seasons..Hundreds of kittens. And somehow, still no one has chosen Peeps.

Peeps came into our rescue when she was just THREE WEEKS OLD. Her mom and siblings have all been adopted. The kittens she grew up with have found families. She has watched kitten after kitten come into her foster home, grow up, and leave for their happily-ever-after.
And Peeps?
She’s still waiting…..

She’s been to PetSmart more times than she probably cares to count and has spent plenty of time in the adoption window hoping that this would be the day someone noticed her.

But here’s the thing about Peeps…
She’s a wonderful cat. ❤️
She’s calm. She’s chill. She’s easygoing. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention. She’s the kind of cat who would be perfectly happy being your couch buddy, your reading buddy, your quiet companion at the end of a long day.

She’d be a wonderful choice for someone looking for an only cat who can simply settle into a home and be your girl.
And we think part of Peeps’ problem is that she doesn’t always show her true personality in the adoption window. She’s not the cat who’s going to throw herself against the glass yelling, “PICK ME! PICK ME!”

She’s more of a “give me a little time and I’ll show you what a good cat I am” kind of girl.

Hi friends, right now our biggest need is something pretty simple....paper plates. Our volunteers feed our kittens/cats their nightly canned food and the small paper plates are purrfect for their little mouths. We split them between our Morrisville and Apex stores. If anybody would like to purchase some for feeding these adoptable kitties, we would appreciate it. Link is below.

🐾 Meet Tank …Your Next Adventure Buddy! 🐾

If you’re looking for a kitty who will keep you laughing, keep you entertained, AND melt into your lap when playtime is over… Tank may be your guy!

Tank is a playful, clever, food-motivated little guy who believes life is meant to be explored! 🌿🐱 He loves discovering hiding spots, watching the action, and launching surprise pounces on his littermates from his secret hideouts. And yes, he has a special appreciation for houseplants; just make sure his future home only has cat-safe plants. Tank is definitely a run-hard, play-hard, cuddle-hard kind of kitty. He loves playing with both people and other cats, and we think he’ll be happiest with a fun feline friend who can keep up with his energy.
Tank is also incredibly personable, smart and affectionate..and did we mention he’s a purring machine?! 😻 His love of food should make learning new tricks and skills a whole lot of fun!

💕 Meet Dutchie — your new favorite little goofball! 💕

Dutchie is the perfect mix of silly, clever, playful and sweet! She absolutely LOVES chasing wand toys, wrestling with her kitty friends, and keeping everyone entertained with her quick moves and fun personality. And when it comes to food…well, let’s just say Dutchie considers mealtime a very important part of the day! Thankfully, she’s also always up for a good play session to work off those extra treats.
Dutchie is a social little girl who does wonderfully with other cats and kids, making her a great addition to a family looking for a fun-loving companion. And when the day winds down, her playful side turns into pure sweetness. ❤️ At bedtime, Dutchie loves to curl up and sleep right near your legs, happy just to be close to her people.
