Have you ever caught yourself thinking..."Maybe they're just slowing down"?

It's easy to chalk little changes up to getting older. But sometimes they're not signs of aging at all. Sometimes they're signs of arthritis. In fact, osteoarthritis affects 40% of pets — but most go undiagnosed. And the good news? Arthritis pain can often be managed with safe, effective treatments and isn't something your pet simply has to live with. So, if you do notice any potential signs – talk to us! Happy Monday from Maple! She is the cutest big sister to the new baby in her household and is wearing it proudly! Mom and Dad say she's doing well and very gentle!

And if you are wondering what breed she is (we were when we first met her as we do not see many of this breed), she is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, commonly known as a "Toller". Just a few fun facts about the Toller. This breed was developed in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, Canada, in the early 19th century to lure ("toll") and retrieve waterfowl. They are highly intelligent, energetic, affectionate with family, and alert, though they can be reserved with strangers. And known for an excited, high-pitched vocalization called the "Toller Scream".
