🐱🐱 Two Can Be Better Than One!

While adopting one cat is incredibly rewarding, adopting two feline friends can have some wonderful benefits especially for social, playful cats.

✨ Why Consider Adopting Two Cats?
• Built-in companionship
• More opportunities for play and enrichment
• Helps reduce boredom and loneliness
• Cats can keep each other entertained and engaged

Of course, every cat has a unique personality. Not all cats enjoy living with other cats or dogs, which is why personality matching is so important when adopting.

If you choose cats that are known to be sociable, bonded pairs or compatible companions can thrive together and provide each other comfort, stimulation, and friendship.

Double the purrs, double the love! 🐈💙🐈

Finding the Perfect Cat Match

Just like people, every cat has a unique personality! Finding the right feline companion means choosing one whose temperament fits your lifestyle and family.

✨ Some cats are:
• Calm and laid back
• Playful and energetic
• Independent and observant
• Affectionate and social

Before adopting, spend time visiting cats at your local shelter or rescue. Observing their behavior firsthand can help you find a companion that feels like the perfect fit for your home.

🐈 A hands-on visit allows you to:
✔️ Learn their personality
✔️ See how they interact with people
✔️ Find the energy level that matches your lifestyle
✔️ Build an early connection before adoption

The right cat can become a lifelong friend and beloved family member.

Cats make wonderful companions for many different lifestyles and households. Compared to dogs, they often offer a bit more independence while still providing plenty of love and companionship. 💙

✨ Why Many People Love Cats:
• No daily walks required
• Litter box trained for indoor living
• Great for apartments and smaller spaces
• Independent, yet affectionate companions
• Quiet, calming presence in the home

Cats thrive with a clean litter box, enrichment, playtime, and loving interaction from their humans. While every pet has unique needs, many people appreciate cats for their self-sufficient nature and adaptable personalities.

Whether playful, cuddly, curious, or calm there’s a cat for everyone! 🐈

We’re back this week celebrating National Adopt-a-Cat Month! 💙

Even if you’re not ready to make a 15–20 year commitment to a pet, there are still so many ways you can help local cats and rescues this summer.

✨ Ways to Support Local Cats:

🏡 Become a Foster
Fostering kittens or adult cats helps free up much-needed shelter space during the busy summer months.

🧺 Donate Supplies
Many local rescues welcome donations such as cat litter, wet food, blankets, toys, and other essentials. Check with your favorite rescue to view their online wish lists and current needs.

Every small act of kindness helps provide comfort, care, and second chances for cats in need.

Keeping your cat up to date on vaccinations is one of the best ways to protect their long-term health!

Recommended Core Vaccines for Cats:

💉 FVRCP Combination Vaccine
This single vaccine protects against three major feline diseases:

• Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, A severe upper respiratory infection caused by feline herpesvirus
• Calicivirus, A highly contagious virus causing respiratory illness, flu-like symptoms, and oral ulcers
• Panleukopenia, Also known as feline distemper, a deadly virus that attacks the immune, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems

💉 Rabies
A fatal neurological virus that can be transmitted to humans. Rabies vaccination is required by law even for indoor cats.

Routine wellness care and vaccinations help keep your feline family members safe, healthy, and protected year-round. 🐈💙

💉 DA2PP / DHPP
This combination vaccine protects against:
• Distemper, A severe airborne virus affecting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems
• Parvovirus, A highly contagious virus causing severe vomiting and diarrhea
• Adenovirus (Hepatitis), Protects against canine hepatitis affecting the liver
• Parainfluenza, A contagious respiratory virus

💉 Leptospirosis
