Shoutout to our wonderful manager/director Kristi for getting a much deserved vacation next week and we wish her a relaxing time away!! With that said, summer is here and so are cats and dogs puppies and kittens! We are asking for any volunteers willing to come help us out next week being short staffed in the mornings. We will comment underneath all days and if you are able to come help mainly in the cat room and washing dishes, we would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you 🙏

Available for adoption!  Sadly, this boy was not claimed and we’ve seen people saying that he belong to a older gentleman that has passed away, and he’s been seen laying by the site where his home was. We can’t say for sure if this is true or not, but what we do know is he needs a loving home to spend the rest of his days no matter how long or short that may be. He is an absolute sweetheart, and we don’t think he would be any trouble at all. Please consider giving him a great home. If you have questions, give us a call. 910-875-4827. He will have a reduced adoption fee as he is already neutered and micro chipped.

🐾 FOUND SENIOR DOG — PLEASE SHARE 🐾

This sweet old man (we’re calling him Vinny) was found stray in the Hunters Run neighborhood in Raeford, and we are desperately trying to get him back home where he belongs. 💔

He was adopted many years ago from a shelter that has since closed down. Thankfully, he is microchipped — however, all phone numbers connected to the chip have been disconnected, leaving us with no way to contact his family.

He is clearly a senior dog who deserves to be back in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the people who love him. We know someone out there is missing this sweet boy.

Please help us by SHARING this post throughout the community. The more people who see him, the better chance we have of reuniting him with his family. 🐶❤️

URGENT 501C3 Rescue Needed for Mom and 8 puppies!!!

🚨 Rescue Needed Urgently 🚨

Serena and her EIGHT newborn puppies are desperately in need of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue to pull them from the shelter. 💔

Sweet Serena gave birth while on her stray hold and is now trying to care for her babies in a loud, stressful shelter environment. This is no place for a nursing mama and fragile newborn puppies. They need a calm, safe space where Serena can rest and properly care for her little ones.

We are urgently asking approved nonprofit rescues to step up for this family before the shelter environment takes a toll on them. Serena has already been through so much, and her puppies deserve the best possible chance at a healthy start in life.

💔 Meet Trudy 💔 URGENT!!!!

When Trudy first arrived at the shelter, she was absolutely terrified. She would run and hide at the smallest movement, trembling and unsure of the world around her. She didn’t want to be touched, and it broke our hearts to see how scared she was.

But little by little… Trudy started to heal.

With patience, kindness, and gentle care, this sweet girl has slowly come out of her shell. The dog who once hid in fear is now showing her true personality—and she is an absolute sweetheart. 💕 She’s learning that people can be safe, and she’s beginning to seek out love instead of running from it.

Trudy is estimated to be a 1–2 year old terrier mix, medium in size, and she still has her whole life ahead of her. She is doing wonderfully with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with canine friends or a patient adopter willing to continue building her confidence.

She didn’t start her journey feeling safe, but she deserves to end it in a home where she will never have to be afraid again.

💔 Meet Mom 💔

For the past several months, this sweet girl has done nothing but give love to others. Not only did Mom raise and care for her own kittens until they found homes, but she also stepped in and lovingly cared for orphaned kittens who had no mother of their own. She cleaned them, protected them, comforted them, and loved them as if they were her own babies. 🐾

One by one, the kittens she nurtured left for their forever homes… but Mom was left behind.

Now the babies are gone, the kennel is quieter, and this gentle girl still waits for someone to finally choose her. It’s heartbreaking to think that after spending all her time caring for everyone else, she still doesn’t have a family of her own.

Mom is approximately 2–3 years old and deserves so much more than shelter life.
Cats are URGENT right now, and adult cats like Mom are so often overlooked while kittens are adopted first. Please don’t let her story end with her being forgotten.
