Lazy day getting ready to close the pool and letting the dogs enjoy the last few warm days

Bonum et Malum Wodan’s Rosmary, now known as **“Brick,”** arrived the first week of September and settled in like she had always been here.
Amarilla of Bonum Et Malum Mudi Kennel FCI did an amazing job raising this sweet girl, and I am so thankful for the wonderful foundation she gave her. If you want to import a mudi pup, she is your go to person!
I decided to enter Brick in the Aiken All Breed Show mostly to get her used to the show environment, because apparently we thought throwing her into a event filled with barking dogs, people, noise and excitement was a perfectly reasonable way to spend a weekend.
Brick can be a little vocal at times. And by “a little vocal,” I mean she occasionally feels the need to provide commentary on what is happening around her. We are working on that, and she does respond well to “no” and redirection. She is learning that not every dog at a show actually needs to hear her opinion.
There are SO many dogs at a show, especially Poodles. Brick seems to find poodles to be deeply suspicious. Maybe she is jealous of their curls?
But honestly, I was incredibly happy with how she handled everything. She really tried to please us, and I had several different people take her into the ring so she could get comfortable being handled by different people. She took it all in stride and learned that apparently there are multiple people in this world who might ask her to behave.
And then she decided to make the weekend even better — **Brick earned all 3 of her competition wins!
Now she is just chasing the points she needs to finish her championship.
For a young girl who had only been here since the first week of September, I couldn't have asked for much more. She showed, she learned, she listened, she tried her heart out... and yes, she occasionally exercised her right to free speech. 😂
I am so proud of this sweet, special girl and excited to see what the future holds for her.
**Thank you, Amarilla, for raising such an amazing girl and trusting me with her. ❤️**
