The Meditative Groomer Academy

The Meditative Groomer’s mission is to make pet grooming more accessible to anyone. We’re proud to be a safe space for every student and every species.

At Meditative Groomer Academy, we believe grooming education should work for every kind of mind. That’s why we created a learning space built with neurodivergent students in mind — where sensory needs are respected, support is individualized, and success doesn’t have to look just one way. We offer hands-on training in pet grooming that’s flexible, inclusive, and designed to meet real-world industry needs. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow, our programs meet you where you are — from beginner bathers to future stylists.

🐾 GUESS THE BREED 🐾
Can you figure it out from just this tiny clue? 👀
Drop your guess below before someone gives it away! 👇

10/20/2026

The Bloodhound was developed for scent trailing, bred to track people and game across long distances with extraordinary accuracy and persistence. That history shows up today in their overwhelming scent drive, determination, and tendency to stay mentally locked onto environmental information once engaged. Many Bloodhounds are gentle and social with people but highly independent in work, often appearing stubborn when instinct takes priority over handler requests. In modern homes, they do best with scent outlets, patient training, and secure management—because a dog bred to follow a trail for miles is unlikely to suddenly decide your plans matter more than their nose.

The Black Russian Terrier was developed as a military and working dog, bred for guarding, patrol, and protection work requiring strength, stability, and environmental awareness. That history shows up today in their protective instincts, confidence, and tendency to carefully assess unfamiliar people or situations before engaging. Many Black Russians are deeply loyal to their family, highly trainable, and calm when properly managed—but can become territorial, push boundaries, or struggle without structure and leadership. In modern homes, they do best with experienced handling, training, and realistic expectations of a large guardian breed built to observe, protect, and respond when necessary.

The Black and Tan Coonhound was developed to trail and tree game over long distances, bred for endurance, persistence, and the ability to follow scent through difficult terrain long after humans lost the trail. That history shows up today in their powerful scent drive, loud vocalizations, and tendency to prioritize environmental information over human requests. Many Black and Tans are social and easygoing with people but intensely nose-driven, often appearing stubborn when instinct takes over. In modern homes, they do best with scent outlets, secure management, and realistic expectations of a dog bred to track independently—not constantly check in for direction.

The Biewer Terrier was developed from companion terrier lines, bred to live closely with people and thrive through social interaction rather than independent work. That history shows up today in their strong attachment to humans, curiosity, and tendency to stay highly involved in household activity. Many Biewers are playful, confident, and emotionally tuned in to their people, but can become vocal, demanding, or frustrated when their need for interaction and engagement is underestimated. In modern homes, they do best with companionship, structure, and realistic expectations of a small dog bred to participate in daily life—not quietly fade into the background.

🇰🇷 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! ✂️

After my experience training and competing in Korea this year, I knew I wanted to create a way for other groomers to experience it too. Not just visiting Korea, but actually getting immersed in the grooming industry, learning, competing, making connections, and experiencing the country along the way.

So in April 2027, we’re going back!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

✂️ 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 + 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆
Arrive early for five days of hands-on education at Kim’s Grooming Academy before joining the rest of the group for competition week.
🏆 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆
Join us for competition prep, the KKC competition, sightseeing, shopping, a recovery/spa day, and more.
Right now, I’m opening the interest list while Harley and I continue working through transportation, accommodations, activities, competition logistics, and all the little details involved in getting a group of groomers through Korea.

You do not have to commit to the trip yet.

Everyone who fills out the interest form will be invited to a private Facebook group chat where you can follow the planning process, ask questions, give input on activities and options, and get to know the other groomers considering the trip.
Once everything is finalized, we’ll open official registration separately.

Whether you’ve dreamed about competing internationally, want to experience Korean grooming education firsthand, or have just been waiting for an excuse to finally go to Korea...

Come take the journey with us. 🇰🇷
