Our office will be closed on Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day Holiday so our staff can spend extra time off with their families, including the furry ones. We will resume our regular hours on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.

We hope that our wonderful clients and patients have a wonderful weekend!

Meet Phyllis! She’s a two month old Spinone puppy, a breed that we rarely see at North Shore Animal Hospital. We are looking forward to watching this sweet girl grow.

According to the AKC Website: The Spinone Italiano, a densely-coated hunting dog, is sociable, docile, and patient, sometimes stubborn but always endearing. Of ancient Italian lineage, the Spinone is among the field dogs of Continental Europe famed for versatility. The Spinone Italiano (plural: Spinoni Italiani) is a squarely and solidly built all-around hunter. Spinoni are muscular and powerful, built more for endurance than speed. The dense coat has a natural, unclippered look and comes in various colors and patterns. The face conveys the breed's abundant Old World charm. Those soft, sweetly expressive eyes set off by shaggy eyebrows and a tufted beard have won many a heart in Italy and they're making new conquests here in America every day.

August 28th is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. Today is a day when we remember all of the wonderful family members that have crossed over the pet Rainbow Bridge. Today is also a day to remember all of the joy that they have brought into our lives and how lucky we had them in our lives.

We hope that the memories of your pets are filled with happy times, happy tails and happy purrs and brings a smile to your face today.

Help us Welcome and wish Hayli a very Happy Birthday today! (Pictured with her Lab, Brandy) Hayli joined the team as a Veterinary Assistant while pursuing a degree in the Animal Care Field.

When Hayli isn’t at work, helping keep our patients happy and healthy, she enjoys crafting, hiking, walking her dog and learning more about Vet Med.

Hayli enjoys meeting new people and their pets everyday and helping those who don’t have a voice. She has quickly become an integral member of our staff and we are lucky to have her as part of our team.

Today is International Blind Dog Day! We have several blind and vision impaired patients at North Shore Animal Hospital, including sweet Ody.

Ody doesn’t know that he’s a little different than some dogs. He gets around at home just fine, with a family that loves and spoils him. He also has a dog sister named Luna who is deaf. The two of them are best of friends and help each other have the best of times together.
