Q: How long does it usually take for a dog to settle in to your home after being in a chaotic shelter?

Indiana GSD and Siberian Husky Rescue Grimm needs a new foster due to my foster is having knee surgery in 2 weeks. We have got all his vetting done and he is a friendly 2 year old GS. He was found as a stray and I wasn't taking in anymore dogs but the finder couldn't keep him so a nice person offered to foster for awhile. I have paid for all his medical so lets not let him fall through the cracks. I still can't bring anymore big dogs here to the rescue because I have no room at all. He gets along with kids and knows basic commands and has gotten along with other dogs.

Met Rocky he is now up for adoption through Indiana GSD and Siberian Husky Rescue. He is such a good young boy needing a family that will love him forever. He is fully vetted now so if interested contact us at [email protected] for an application and he will be listed on adopt a pet tonight.

Indiana GSD and Siberian Husky Rescue is in need of Donations please.
When we got hit on August 11th by the storm it destroyed alot of stuff around here.
RV destroyed got nothing from insurance for it or to remove it so I paid to remove it myself out of pocket.
Trees got nothing we have been cutting them up ourselves as we can and buying chains saws and gear oil and piling them up to burn this fall.
Kennels we have replaced panels out of pocket on 1 big kennel but still need to do 2 more.
Pool having the junk removal company come in a week to tear down and remove and that will come out of my pocket.
But most importantly isnt my personal stuff that all got damaged or destroyed its my fenced in yard area for the dogs. It has to be replaced completely so I'm begging for donations to get this done immediately so I can stop stressing over if the dogs im working with can get out or not. I have secured it the best I can but these dogs are strong and can get the broken gates open and really just push the fence and it will fall down again.
My roof carport and garage door and everything else can wait cause im hiring a attorney to deal with the insurance but I need at least $5000 to do this fence i have a few dollars saved that I will put towards it myself.

This male German Shepherd was a found dog that so far no one has claimed. We have him in foster care and had him taken to the vet to get scanned for a microchip which he doesn't have one and vet said he was healthy but underweight. We had all his basic shots done and had a heartworm and lyme test done which was Negative. We still have to get him Neutered and microchipped but we were waiting to see if anyone came forward to claim him. We will hold another 7 days from today then he will be placed up for adoption after his Neuter.
He is about 2 years old
Seems house broken
Good on leash and very smart
Very friendly

We have had nonstop storms and we have 1 now going on so it's been hard to check messages and keep up on everything with power off for over 2 days then back on and now flickering again. Sorry if I don't reply but my main concern right now is safety for the dogs then when storm passes we will have alot of clean up to do.
