Established in 1998 by Elizabeth Boyer, Professional Dog Trainer, after graduating from the world renowned Tom Rose School for Dog Trainers. My goal as a business owner is to have a happy, healthy, safe, fun, and

Did you know Parvo Virus can live in the soil for over a year? Parvo gives your puppy severe diarrhea and vomiting. I have seen it kill puppies within days. This virus is prevalent in our area. Completely vaccinated dogs are safe, but this is a 3 series vaccination given at 3-4 week intervals when your puppy is little. Limiting their exposure to areas where other dogs have been will help keep them safe. Also consider disinfecting your shoes before entering your home if you have been in areas other dogs frequent as this virus can hitch hike on the bottom of your shoes if you walk through an infected area. Which remember can be anywhere an infected dog has diarrhea or vomits on the dirt for over a year.

Today I was told in my neighborhood that around the blocks of Spruce 14th street (Quincy) the highly contagious Parvo virus has struck a few of of the neighborhood dogs and to be careful walking your dog in the area.

Just a reminder for all of our extended dog families! During severe weather like we are supposed to experience tonight the safest place for your pet to be is in a secure crate in your basement. In the event you must seek emergency shelter in your home it is good to be prepared. We often advise to have an extra crate that stays in your storm shelter area. You can drape a heavy blanket over top of 3 sides of the crate to lessen scary sounds like heavy thunder and wind. Just make sure to allow for sufficient air flow so your dog does not get too hot. Having a rubber backed rug or carpet under the crate will help with vibration or shaking from thunder. Stay safe everyone!
