Meet Doc!
At just 11 months old and already 78 pounds, Doc is still very much a puppy and still growing into those big paws of his! This handsome boy is full of energy, enthusiasm, and love. Like many young dogs, he's still learning the ropes and would thrive with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement training.
Doc is working on his leash manners and can get excited during walks, with some jumping and leash-grabbing along the way. With patience, training, and plenty of love, he's sure to blossom into an amazing companion.
If you're ready to invest a little time and a lot of heart into a fun-loving young dog, Doc may be the perfect match for you. Come meet him at the Quincy Animal Shelter and see if he's the missing piece of your family!

EDITH UPDATE! Edith came into the shelter with a sore looking red spot on her belly. With time, love, and a little help from the dreaded cone of shame, her belly has healed up nicely. Now she's feeling so great she constantly asks for tummy rubs. Her family tells us that since coming home she has blossomed into a silly, wiggly, chatty girl who rules the roost over her two cat brothers and occasionally sleeps on people's heads.

Franklin has been with us for too long. It’s time he got a forever home of his own. Frank is an almost 2-year-old lovebug who LOVES attention… right up until he decides you’ve had enough privileges. He can get overstimulated and may bite or scratch, so he needs an experienced cat person who understands boundaries and feline body language.
His vet suspects he might have FHS, but we’re still figuring that out.
He appears to like other cats! The problem is that the other cats have yet to appreciate his unique social style. Franklin seems to approach feline friendships with the enthusiasm of that one person at a party who has absolutely no idea when they're standing too close. We think he could potentially do well with another cat, but he will need proper, slow introductions and a feline friend whose personality is a good match. No “here's your new roommate, good luck!” introductions for this guy.
He’s sweet, quirky, a little spicy, and definitely not your average cat. He just needs someone who appreciates a handsome little weirdo and is willing to learn his language.
Experienced cat people with a soft spot for spicy boys, Franklin is accepting applications!
If you're interested in Franklin please come meet him at the shelter Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday 11-4 or Friday by appt only. His adoption fee is $225.

Thumper is a sweet 2-year-old girl who’s looking for a patient family—and maybe a feline friend, too!

Is your cat looking for a companion? Thumper came to us as an owner surrender after living with many other cats, and she truly enjoys the company of her feline friends. While she’s a little shy when meeting new people, she blossoms with time and gains confidence in the presence of other cats.

Thumper also happens to have only three feet, but don’t tell her that! She doesn’t let it slow her down one bit and still loves to run, play, and enjoy life just like any other cat.

Once she feels comfortable, Thumper loves to play and would do wonderfully in a home with a friendly resident cat who can help show her the ropes.

If you have room in your heart—and your home—for this resilient, gentle girl, Thumper may be the perfect match.
