A little update on our special pied girl 💕

I’ve had quite a bit of interest in our little blue & tan merle pied girl already, so I wanted to share an update about her and explain why she will not be available at this time.

She was born with a small cleft lip, which I’ve marked in the second photo so you can see exactly where it is. The really encouraging news is that her palate inside her mouth appears to be completely intact, and she has a strong suckling reflex. She is able to nurse, and we are incredibly thankful for that. ❤️

At this point, the cleft appears to be primarily a cosmetic issue, but because she is so young, we simply need time. We’ll be watching her very closely as she grows by monitoring her nursing, weight gain, development, and overall health. We’ll also be working with our veterinarian to determine whether surgical repair is appropriate once she is old enough.

Because of this, she will not be available for reservation or placement for quite a while. Her health comes first, and I want to have a much better understanding of how she develops and what her future needs may be before making any decisions about her.

I truly appreciate everyone who has already reached out about this beautiful little girl. 🥰 She certainly knows how to get attention already! For now, though, she gets to stay right here, grow, eat, sleep, and be thoroughly spoiled while we see what the future holds for her.

We’re very grateful that she is nursing well and starting out strong. One day at a time with this sweet little lady. 💗🐾

Daisy is such a good mama! Maybe a little too attentive. She wont sleep/rest unless I'm awake. 🤦🏼‍♀️ She acts like a bear is going to eat her babies at night or when she has to go outside to bathroom. I guess better to be overly nurturing than not enough. She's settling into her groove. All are doing well 💖 I just won't be sleeping much for a few days 😆

Daisy has officially delivered 6 new party members: 4 boys and 2 girls. Five are blue & tan, and one little girl is a blue & tan merle pied.

REWARD:
Six ridiculously adorable puppies and approximately 4,000 photos nobody asked for.

NEW QUEST:
Keep six newborn French Bulldogs fed, warm, clean, weighed, monitored, and somehow convince yourself that you are going to sleep.

DIFFICULTY:
Questionable.

PLOT TWIST:
Surprise! You didn’t even get time to send the usual litter confirmation announcement before Daisy skipped straight to the next level.

CURRENT STATUS:
Mom: Doing great.
Puppies: Doing great.
Humans: Operating primarily on adrenaline.

The babies are already crawling all over the whelping pen because apparently, they’ve decided the tutorial is optional.

SPECIAL UNIT DETECTED:
Our blue & tan merle pied girl was born with a small cleft/opening near the front of her mouth and nose. So far, she is nursing well, getting to the milk bar completely on her own, and generally acting like she did not receive the memo that she is supposed to be our special-care unit.

She’ll be an extended-stay party member while we closely monitor her growth and development before making any decisions about her future placement.

Pardon my lack of posting lately, we've had a busy summer so far.... and hopefully will have an even busier September 🐾 💙🩷

For anyone that was eyeing or that missed out on the "Stranger Things" litter. I'm attempting a round 2! They are such beautiful babies, I decided I needed to do it again.

If your considering a pup from Daisy x Ruxin, just remember they will more than likely be a large frenchie when fully grown. 😄 I usually have a better idea as the pups grow who the chunkers are going to be.

Mama's special boy Ruxin got to go camping a few weeks ago! The ladies had to stay at home this time, so he got all the attention. ❤️

Hopefully I'll have some good news to share in a few weeks about potential pups 🤗
