Hello my Family and Friends of Poochie Do's. We will be switching gears come August 2027. Poochie Do's has been a huge part of a lot of people's lives and their fur babies for many years. We are climbing into our 10 years in business. There have been quite a few changes that have occurred during this time. So many changes in such a short time. Transitioning in from mobile to wanting a brick and mortar store. This literally fell in our lap years ago. To having a team employed by (Poochie Do's). To the most recent booth rental. To each their own entity. This has been the least of the stress as a past employer. They each have had the ability with the breach to pretty much do as they please. Less stress on all parties.
When my husband and I started this business back in June 2017 BIG DREAMS. He is the creator of mechanics, the builder and the fixer of pretty much everything. Maintaining and making sure our jobs at the shop run smoothly. As he continues to work 10-hr shifts at his work. Taking a toll on his health and wellbeing.
This business has been a journey. A journey for everyone that has worked alongside me down through the years. Some now have their own businesses in grooming, some hopefully had a good experience in choosing their paths. I am blessed to have had the ability to create a space that people can learn and grow. Also, most importantly for our beloved clients and their fur babies to feel safe. This career holds deep emotion in my heart and I am sure holds special spots for those that are currently here as well as past groomers that have spent time her as well. You all are included. This isn't just about me.
This is about everything you have experienced, everything that you have talked to your groomer about, this is about the concerns you may have had, this is about the style you want your groomer to do because you showed her a picture. 😁 This is about your groomer talking to you about "brushing" showing you the pawfect brush for your pooch. This is about your groomer telling you about a bump or a lump or something unusual on your pooch that they noticed. All these things and many more is what makes this career so rewarding. We care. We care about you as our client and we care about your fur baby. Finding a good groomer is essential as a pet parent. :-). We are so blessed that you have chosen Poochie Do's over the years. Because, we love you and we love your baby. ☺️
Much thought has gone into this decision. Your groomers Amanda and Madison are figuring their paths in grooming. For me I want simplicity. I want to wake up in the morning and not have to worry about this huge shop that is way bigger than our needs. The up-keep of this shop.
As my husband and I enter a different phase in our lives, retirement for him sooner than me. I will be going mobile in mid 2027. A smaller version from the original and way smaller than earlier purchase this year. I will be continuing with my current clients in Quincy, Crescent bar and Ephrata. The last day at our current location has not been decided. Our last month which is August 2027 will mainly be vacating the premises.
