Do you have a pup with a double coat like Millie that sheds all over, keeping your vacuum and broom in daily rotation?

Keeping them on a 6-8 week grooming schedule leaves most of that shedding hair in my tub and not on YOUR floors!

Deshedding treatments do not remove all of the shedding undercoat, as all double coated dogs naturally shed regardless of grooming. Regular grooming does, however, greatly reduce the amount of shedding hair and helps regulate their natural shedding cycle- reducing compaction, and the “clumps” of shedding hair that get trapped in the coat. Brushing in between grooming appointments will also help extend the longevity of deshedding treatments.

Ever since losing my little old lady, I’ve developed a soft spot for golden girls here at the shop.

I started grooming Miss Bella in the final season of her life, and I’m so blessed she and her dad chose me for her grooming needs. Malamutes tend to have a sassier attitude sometimes, but not Bella. She is sweet as pie. She can’t stand all that well, not in her back end at least. So we take it slow, use various supports with towels for extra cushion to make it comfortable for her. Take lots of breaks to rest her old bones. I talk to her, and reassure her when she seems nervous. Apologize when I irritate the arthritis in her joints while doing her nails.

I genuinely look forward to her name in my book every time.
