Not how we wanted to start the new year with our old girl Roxi. Another infected tooth, but she was still up in weight from last year when she had two others pulled. Hoping she feels better after some antibiotics and TLC. 29 years old and still hanging in there! Super thankful for Dr. Cooper, he has truly been a life saver more than once for us.

Had 6 of our young roosters processed today and it was a very cool experience. They averaged about 5lbs per bird which isnt bad for barnyard mix chickens. Can’t wait to try the meat! Some cornish cross chicks may be in our future 😊

Just in case you’ve never seen a turkey chase a horse around, here you go 😄 Cardi hates birds and dogs so this was surprising, but there were quite a few feathers in her pen so I think she finally gave Tommy a smackin. Thanks to my neighbor for going over to put him back in his coop! Turn your sound up for the full sound effects 😂

It’s been a while, friends! I’ve been terrible about both taking and posting pictures lately. Summer is coming to an end, and although the outside work never stopped, we will have so many projects to get done by next summer! The big project this summer was a massive enclosed chicken coop, over 40 feet long! No more coyotes getting our birds. It still needs a few final touches, I’ll be sure to post pictures when it’s complete!
