Important Pet Medication Recall

We want to make sure our clients are aware of a recent veterinary medication recall that may affect your pets.
Wedgewood Pharmacy LLC is voluntarily recalling nearly 4,000 compounded veterinary medications due to potential potency issues. The affected products were shipped nationwide between February 18, 2026, and October 6, 2026, to veterinary practices, pharmacies, and other customers. The recall includes various medications in forms such as powders, pastes, oral suspensions, injectables, ophthalmic ointments and solutions, ear solutions, topical sprays, and gels.

What does this mean for you and your pet?
If your pet is currently taking a compounded medication from Wedgewood Pharmacy, please check whether it's included in the recall. You can find the complete list of affected products, including lot numbers and expiration dates, here:
https://www.wedgewood.com/recall-lookup/

If your pet is on any recalled medications, we'll contact you. We know how important your pet's health and well-being are to you. If you have questions or concerns about a medication your pet is taking, please give our team a call. We're happy to help you understand what this means for your pet and determine any next steps.

Please don't stop or change your pet's prescribed medication without first speaking with your veterinarian.

Your pet's health and safety will always be our priority.

With the candy bowl filling up, a quick reminder for pet families.

Chocolate, xylitol, and raisins are all dangerous for pets, and candy wrappers can cause problems of their own. Keep the stash somewhere your pet cannot reach, and remind the kids to do the same.

If your pet gets into something they should not, call us right away at (215) 536-6245.

Does your dog have itchy skin?
Your dog may be eligible for a complimentary screening to determine whether they could participate in the clinical study for canine atopic dermatitis.

If your dog qualifies and participates, study-related exams, laboratory testing, flea control, and either an investigational product or placebo may be provided at no cost.

📞 Contact us at 215-536-6245 to learn more and schedule a screening appointment.
Dogs attending a screening visit by October 31 may receive a complimentary Halloween dog toy as a seasonal courtesy, while supplies last. Receipt of the toy is not dependent on screening results or subsequent study participation.

It is National Veterinary Technician Week and our techs are the heart of this place.

They comfort nervous patients, monitor anesthesia, are your lab-work technicians, surgical nurses, dental hygienists, and somehow still find a way to make everyone feel cared for, pets and people alike. We would be lost without them.

Have a tech here who has taken great care of your pet? Name them in the comments so we can pass it along.

Happy Global Cat Day to every cat and the people who serve them.

Cats are famously good at acting like nothing is wrong, even when something is. That quiet toughness is exactly why regular checkups matter so much for them, indoor cats included.

If it has been a while since your cat's last visit, call us at (215) 536-6245!

Today is Pet Obesity Awareness Day, and it is a good reminder that those extra treats add up.

Carrying extra weight makes everyday movement harder on your pet and can affect their comfort and energy over time. The encouraging part is that small changes to food, portions, and activity really do make a difference.

Not sure where your pet stands? Call us to schedule a weight check and a nutritional consultation!

Costume planning season is officially here.

If your pet is dressing up, keep it comfortable and safe: nothing that limits movement, vision, or breathing, no small pieces they could chew off, and always supervise while it is on.

If your pet would rather skip the outfit, a festive bandana still earns full marks.

So tell us, what is your pet going as this year? We want to hear it in the comments.
