Dusty Stables Farm Dusty Stables is run by Jimmy Keon, with our lesson instructor Jessica VanValkenburg, who is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist.

She teaches lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. We also offer therapeutic riding and birthday parties. At Dusty Stables we take pride in our barn and the family atmosphere; our goal is to establish a safe and fun environment while helping build the confidence of the rider to excel. We offer boarding, with all day- turn-out, feeding, watering, ect. (Vet, farrier, worming, and d

ental services scheduled.) Full board includes 12'x12' matted stalls cleaned daily. Rough board is also available with run in sheds and large paddocks. We have a spacious outdoor riding ring with plenty of room for everyone's enjoyment. We welcome all types of riding, and are reasonably priced. After nearly 24” of snow, we are dug out and everyone is all good. No loss of power, no damage, no issues. Thank God.
We are still going to ask our people to give it a couple of days before heading down to the barn. The driveway, while clear, still has some snow on it and can be slick.

Now, time to defrost and eat a lil’ somethin’.

Hey y’all!
With the wonderful weather we are having, we want to urge everyone to stay home and stay safe.
All horses and other animals are fed, safe, and the barn is all buttoned up.
We will be going back every few hours to plow and check on the horses until evening feed.
Stay safe, stay warm, and say a prayer for all of the wonderful people plowing the roads, medical professionals, and other livestock owners.

Yorktown Grange Fair 2025…year 11 in the books!
I struggle to find the words best to describe the pride we have for these people, they have come together to create a FAMILY, not just friends but people that will be a part of our lives forever.

These kids have shown great improvements from just last year, they have put in the work and boy, does it show. We had some not so great conditions with weather (shocking, truly…🙄) but they took it all in stride to create such amazing memories.

The parents have stepped up to support, learn, and be present for these amazing kids and for Jim and I…we cannot thank you enough. It truly means the world to us. Y’all have shown us what community, friendship, and unconditional support means.

Being a part of the integral moments of these kids lives is a privilege and a blessing that we do not take for granted. The giggles that we hear, the smiles we see, and the memories we make are the reasons why we do what we do, what makes it all worth it. So, thank you to everyone that was a part of the planning and preparation of this weekend, we truly could not have done it without you.

Kids, keep reaching for the stars and remember that the only back up plan we have is to get back up.

The Yorktown Grange Fair starts FRIDAY!!!!
Come visit your favorite Crew members and horses in the pole barn on Saturday and Sunday THIS weekend!
The minions…err…I mean, kids will be putting on an awesome show and will be around to answer questions too - just look for people in cool blue shirts 😎😉
