Lydia Bagley Lydia earned her Animal Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2005, launching a career training horses and teaching middle school science. Her passion for animal behavior led her to earn her Certification in Professional Dog

Training in 2019, followed by her Behavior Consultant Certification in 2021. In 2024, she became a licensed Family Dog Mediator, and an Accredited Mantrailing Instructor in 2025. She finds that dogs and horses have a unique way of revealing life’s most valuable lessons: presence, authenticity, patience, and kindness. Lydia enjoys training and competing with her own dogs in Agility, Barn Hunt, DockDiving, and Mantrailing.

Eyeballing my lunch 👀, chilling in the yard because apparently I froze him out in the truck, and starting to understand relax when asked. Lets not discuss potty training 😔we’ve had better days. Not food bowl drama (yet) 😂 SAR training starts with a solid foundation of manners. We got this Rooster 🐓!

GZ has two other puppies in need of puppy raisers!! Iceman and Goose (because why not have a TOP GUN theme) are looking for people to give them a solid start to life!

Some great points about retractable leashes. If you’ve ever done a lesson with us, you know I always ask dogs to be on a standard 4-6ft leash. Safety first!

Adding- yes we use longlines extensively. No they aren’t the same, and caution should be used as well safe handling techniques when using a longline.

I know the page has been quiet... Lots and lots going on behind the scenes!!! Mantrailing has been on a short hold due to weather but we are planning to be back up and rolling next month!!

🔥 Heat Awareness: Protect Your Pup’s Paws 🔥

With the summer heat in full force, please be extra careful when walking your dogs, especially those mid day potty breaks!

Pavement and asphalt can get extremely hot — often much hotter than the air temperature. If it’s too hot for your bare hand to hold on the ground for 5–7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.

✅ Walk early morning or late evening
✅ Stick to grass or shaded paths when possible
✅ Carry water for both of you
✅ Consider booties if you must walk on hot surfaces

Let’s keep our furry friends safe and comfortable out there. 🐾❤️
