🦜 170 parrots are waiting for a safe place to call home—and Parrot Outreach Society urgently needs your help finding one.

We need a property owner, business, foundation, or philanthropist to donate a building, provide affordable or donated space, or help fund a new facility. We’re seeking at least 4,000 square feet in Charlotte or Lee County, with a maximum total occupancy budget of $5,000 per month, including rent and landlord fees.

About 170 parrots are depending on us. Each one needs safety, care, and someone who won’t give up on them. Finding an affordable home will help us keep our resources where they belong: caring for these birds.

We’ve followed up on supporters’ leads, visited a couple of properties, and spoken with people who want to help. Unfortunately, the spaces have either been too small or beyond what we can afford.

For a transformational gift, we would welcome a conversation about naming our new facility in the donor’s honor—a lasting legacy of compassion.

To everyone who has shared, sent a lead, or made a phone call: thank you. Please don’t stop. We believe someone out there can help—and your next share could reach them.

💙 Please message Parrot Outreach Society with leads or partnership opportunities, and share this appeal. Help us keep the doors open for our birds.

Thank you Ron for your donation💕

An update on our search for a new home for Parrot Outreach Society 🦜

Thanks to your tips, we’ve looked at a couple of spaces and talked with quite a few people. We’re still searching. The places we’ve found so far have either been too small or more than we can afford.

The bird in this photo is Zeus, a Goffin’s cockatoo who is available for adoption. He’s playing with a toy one of our supporters donated. Moments like this are why we’re working so hard to find a new home for the rescue—for Zeus and every bird in our care.

We appreciate every lead, every share, and every conversation you have about our search. Please keep them coming. ❤️

Thank you Kathy! The toys are amazing😍
