Happy Wednesday
Last Saturday (9-19) SWFL Horses participated in the PGHA Speed show. For many of our riders this was the first time in the “Big Arena “ our walk trot division had a fantastic first run ! P*e Wee division looked so good. Putting what they have learned into play on game day!

Unfortunately there was a lightning delay and then it was called , it’s okay just Florida weather doing what she does .
All in all it was a great time
So proud of these kids for overcoming the fear of performing in front of so many spectators
The make up date has not yet been announced picking up where we left off and finish up the first show of the season

🐴 Ask Miss Danna – Horse Care 🍬

❓Question: “What are your horse’s favorite treats?”

💛 Miss Danna says:

“Peppermints and sugar cubes are definitely favorites! Horses love them as an occasional treat.”

But treats should always be given the right way. They should never be used to coax a horse into a trailer or to reward unwanted behavior. Instead, treats are best used as an occasional reward for good behavior and as a way to build a positive relationship with your horse.

Remember—good training comes first, treats come second! 🐴❤️

🐴 Ask Miss Danna – Beginner Riders 💛

❓Question: “What’s the first thing new riders should learn?”

💛 Miss Danna says:

“The very first thing is learning your balance and staying centered with your horse. Sit tall, stay square in the saddle, and let the horse’s mane and ears stay centered with your body. When you’re balanced, your horse can move more freely, and you’ll both feel more confident.”

Learning to ride isn’t about speed—it’s about building a strong foundation. Balance first… everything else comes with practice. 🐴✨

Despite photographic evidence, Sam would like everyone to know that he was absolutely NOT attempting to disguise himself in order to gain access to the dog food stored in the Activity Center.

The hat was purely a fashion choice.

The fact that he was found suspiciously close to the dog food is merely a coincidence.

The fact that he immediately looked offended when questioned is also irrelevant.

At this time, Sam’s legal team has advised him to make no further comments.

Although… all he really needs is a mustache and we’d never recognize him. 🤠🐴

🐴 Ask Miss Danna – Safety First! ⛑️

❓Question: “Why are helmets so important?”

💛 Miss Danna says:

“Helmets are one of the most important pieces of riding equipment you can wear. They protect your head and can help prevent serious brain injuries if you fall. No matter how experienced you are, accidents can happen in a split second. A helmet is a simple way to protect yourself every time you ride.”

At SWFL Horses, safety always comes first. That’s why every rider wears a properly fitted helmet—every ride, every time. 🐴❤️

🚨 Naughty Horse Files: Case #004 🚨

🐴 Suspect: Juliet
Status: Repeat Offender
Alias: The Stitch Collector 🪡

Current Charges:

• Excessive and unnecessary vet visits
• Finding increasingly creative ways to maim herself
• Running up the stitch count like there’s a trophy involved
• Abuse of the barn’s veterinary budget 💸😂

Known Behavior:

Don’t let the record fool you—Juliet is truly one of the bestest girls. ❤️ She’s sweet, patient, and spends her days taking care of the littles and teaching them how to ride.

But apparently, being a model citizen during working hours means she needs a hobby in her spare time.

Her hobby? Finding new and inventive ways to see the vet. 🤦🏼‍♀️

If maiming herself and collecting stitches were an Olympic sport, this girl would already have the gold medal. 🥇

Possible Motive:

Authorities believe Juliette may STILL be salty about the end of her luxurious maternity leave…

You know—the one she received during her FALSE PREGNANCY. 😂

For a while, she was pampered, fussed over, and treated like an expectant mother.

Then everyone discovered there was NO BABY and somebody had the audacity to tell her she had to go back to work.

She has apparently never recovered from this injustice. 😑

Notes from the Barn:

• Professional stitch collector 🪡
• Feels she was unfairly removed from maternity leave
• Would very much like to return to being pampered full-time

Sentence:

Light duty, close supervision, and absolutely NO MORE creative hobbies.

👇 Jury’s out…

Is Juliet genuinely accident-prone, or is this all an elaborate scheme to get herself put back on paid maternity leave? 🤔😂
