You may have seen this sweet face highlighted on our posts and stories in the past, but if you haven’t this is Tico. You wouldn’t know based on his smiley face, but this sweet boy has had a heck of a week. After a catastrophic house fire on Monday evening, Tico spent a few days at Viking Veterinary Hospital getting around the clock care for smoke inhalation along with his siblings. Tico was released on Thursday evening and we offered to keep a close eye on him and stay on top of his meds to give his mom a chance to get some things squared away after all that happened. He went home this evening and we’re so proud of how he handled the medication schedule and the progress he made in his recovery in the few days he was here.
We’re sharing about Tico to bring more attention to the GoFundMe that the wonderful team at Viking put together for Tico and his family. More information about what happened can be found in the GoFundMe link and on Viking’s page. We can’t begin to imagine the costs that have come from the loss from the fire and from the emergency veterinary attention for Tico and his siblings. If anyone feels inclined to donate, we know any amount would be greatly appreciated.
