I BET you’ve been wondering what we’ve been keeping up our sleeve…

Well the wait is over, and we’re ready to show our hand. We’re thrilled to introduce our new import:

“Gamble”
𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐩𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐎𝐮𝐭

Gamble is co-owned by myself, Jonah and Chanel of Glade Mill Sporting & Hound and he is bred by T**e Larsen and Karin Søgaard.

Sometimes you have to take a chance and this time we think we hit the jackpot! We’re so excited for what the future holds for this special boy.

It seems great things always come in twos here at Kvell!

We are so happy and proud to announce The National Parks litter is also confirmed via ultrasound 💚💚

We tried this breeding back in December via a chilled shipment which unfortunately missed but I am nothing if not persistent! So last month Poppy and I took a little vacation to Surprise, AZ to hang out with sweet Charlie and his family for a few days. It appears our efforts have been VERY successful. This will be my iconic Poppy’s third and final litter we are so excited to see what these two produce together!

We are so thrilled to announce a litter due at Kvell finally! Parker and Ophelia are expecting confirmed via ultrasound.

As you may have caught onto, there was a lot of behind the scenes action to get this breeding done. We are forever grateful for Stephanie Kirkland of Bevo (Parker’s breeder/owner) allowing him to come on an extended MN staycation with us. Living with him has been a joy and just makes us even more excited for his kiddos!

We are so excited for this litter for so many reasons (I could go on and on 🤣) but we expect wonderful temperaments and have a strong feeling there will be some performance prospects and hopefully a couple show pups in there as well!

We can’t wait to welcome these little ones into the world ♥️ Raising puppies is truly our favorite part of breeding and we look forward to giving each one the very best start in life while sharing the joy they bring with all of you!

Meet Parker!

We are so honored to be able to bring this hidden diamond into the light! A huge thank you to his breeder Stephanie Kirkland for trusting us with her boy ♥️.

We have been loving getting to know this boy over the last few days and I am ever MORE Obsessed with him in person!

Parker is a little spitfire! Despite being a respectable 8 years old he refuses to act like it 🤣 and his antics are only just beginning from the sounds of it. He finished as a 13” and remains a very compact package.

We are so excited to potentially 🤞🤞🤞 have some puppies coming out of him soon! We don’t want to jinx it though so keep your fingers and toes crossed for us and another announcement coming soon!

Nothing better than being out enjoying the pack.

Now that we are all pretty settled into the new place we’ve been relishing in our new routine. Playing in the yard, going to work with Dr. dad, pack walks with friends or dog classes, and now our first local show is in the books!

I don’t think we’ve ever been happier 🥹 I have so many big plans for this place but I don’t want to talk too big too soon so I’ll keep it close to the heart for now

If you’ve missed the new addition announcements we now have a standard wire hair dachshund - Gunther and an Irish setter - Damon! Although we are always beaglers first and foremost, we are also purebred fanciers and can’t resist beautiful dogs. An Irish has been Jonah’s dream breed forever and he always dreamed of getting one after he was done with school. Damon checked all his boxes and joined us from Kinloch in Virginia. Gunther was a bit serendipitous! I had been wanting to dabble in a second hound breed so that someday when I apply for my judging license I have an easier go of it. When Jonah got to show Gunther’s older brother and we both thought he was amazing we couldn’t resist when offered this guy from the repeat litter!! We scooped Gunny up from Nouvelle right before we left WA. Both boys will of course be shown but there no plans on a second breeding program any time soon

Our newest Champion Miss Ophelia!

CH Kvell & Waskasoo Echoes of the Past

This sweet girl is what we hoped for in so many ways. I feel such pride seeing my brain child plan successfully come to life but even more than that I feel humble gratitude for being trusted to work with the pieces of other breeders’ programs that have had time intention and love poured into them for decades, long before I could even read a pedigree! We all start somewhere but those beginnings rely on somebody choosing to place trust in us and gifting the chance to do right by the breed and dogs they love so much.

I plan to always keep that lesson close to my heart and hopefully in the years to come we will be able to pass on pieces of our devotion to others who love this breed.

Here’s Vintage! You all deserve some updated photos of her. She really is a classy girl in so many ways.

As we get closer to May, we’re also getting closer to moving. It’s crazy to think about how much will change in such a short time. There are a lot of unknowns ahead, but one thing I’m sure of is that the Beagles will handle it with their usual grace and zero stress. That’s one of the amazing things about this breed and what drew us to them in the first place-carefree little hounds.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great weekend! If you recently reached out about a puppy, check your email. I have a lot of messages to reply to, and with tax season work hours I’ve fallen a bit behind - but I promise I’m not ignoring you!!
