Our immediate focus is to provide affordable spay/neuter services as well as public awareness of the importance of spaying/neutering & it's direct impact by the reduction of overpopulation. In addition, we are networking with rescue groups & foster homes to assist in placement of these animals.

We are sharing this post for our rescue partner - taking on this many dogs who are on a court hold has taken its toll - and yet they have done an amazing job managing - these dogs were taken from a very tough situation and fostering one would not only free up a spot for a dog in our county in need- it would mean the world to these babies who would thrive in homes. Tonight’s the night! ❤️

We hope you’ll come spend a little time with us at our Swamp John’s fundraiser tonight from 4–7 PM at First Baptist Church in Pulaski. Grab a plate, bring a friend, enjoy some dessert, and help us continue caring for the animals who need us.

And we have a few extra-special things waiting for you…

🐾 We’ll have the cutest holiday bandanas available for your favorite dogs — Thanksgiving, fall/Halloween and Christmas — just $10 each. A few very sweet local kids had the idea to sell them and contribute to the cause. The bandanas are being sold in honor of the late Mary R. McCree, who cared deeply about animal welfare and was a supporter of Giles County Humane Association. We think she would be especially happy to see young people getting excited about helping animals.

🍰 And then there are the desserts…

We have been so fortunate to have some amazing local bakers volunteer their time and talents to bring goodies for us to sell tonight. There will be pies, cookies and even BANANA PUDDING. So if you were planning to “just grab dinner and go”…we apologize in advance. 😂

Most of all, we are incredibly grateful for this community. Every person who buys a plate, brings a dessert, buys a bandana, volunteers, donates, shares a post or simply shows up is helping us continue saying YES to animals who need us.

Come eat with us. Come visit. Come grab something sweet. Come get a bandana for your favorite dog.

FOSTER NEEDED: This beautiful girl is looking for someone willing to help her discover the good life.

She was recently surrendered after living primarily outside, and as you can tell has been a mom several times - and now we want to give her the chance to learn what it feels like to be part of a home before we ask her to find her forever family.

She is very smart, affectionate, and eager to connect with people. She has also been keeping her kennel clean, which makes us hopeful that house training will come naturally as she learns a routine and gets comfortable indoors.

What we really need right now is a foster who can give her a little time, patience, and guidance while we get to know the dog underneath it all. What makes her happiest? How does she do with other dogs? What kind of family will bring out her best? Does she love the couch, the backyard, car rides, being your shadow? We want to discover all of that with her.

Sometimes fostering isn’t just about giving a dog somewhere to stay. It’s about giving them the opportunity to become themselves.

If you have room in your home and heart to help this beautiful girl make the transition from outside living to the life she deserves, please reach out to us about fostering. You could be the person who helps her take that first big step toward her forever home.

All of them.

Apparently, this is how fundraising works. You buy dinner, we feed hungry people, and the animals get to keep getting the things they need. Seems fair. 😂😊😃

Oreo would like to formally apologize in advance for the fact that you are about to fall in love with him.

He’s sweet, curious, playful, and just nosy enough to make sure he knows exactly what you’re doing at all times. Oreo is the kind of kitten who can turn absolutely nothing into an adventure and somehow make you want to join in.

He has a wonderful personality, plenty of charm, and he’s ready to find the people who will appreciate all of his little antics for the rest of his life.

Basically, Oreo is looking for a forever home… and possibly someone who doesn’t mind having their privacy permanently revoked.
