I made a cute little informational art piece for a lovely publication called the Mouse Minute! It goes along with my september article on the history of selective breeding and animal shows. I find it amazing, reading back on what the mouse fancy used to look like and how few varieties they had back then. They also didn't know half of what we know now about genetics. The mice i enjoy keeping today are the product of over a century of work and discoveries from previous fanciers, and I am very grateful I get to enjoy the fruits of their labors.

Little side note:
I've also been writing them a series of articles on line breeding for mouse fanciers. If you are a member of the FMBA(fancy mouse breeder's association of america), you get access to the mouse minute monthly, and can enjoy my articles along with the informative, creative, fun work of the other contributors. If you're interested in the mouse minute or just want to be more involved in the mouse fancy, I recommend giving the FMBA a look!

A recent Espresso × Latté line litter! In it, we finally have verifiable proof that I've got chocolate lurking in these two WIP show lines! I've been breeding these guys for a couple years now and it's only just now showing up. Recessives, man... they're SneAkY!

A CUDDLE PUDDLE

from my Teddy Bear Line!

We have some xblack, ry, agouti and
Dilutes here, all texel. They have very chill temperaments, and some are shaping up to have lovely coats too. I'll be holding onto em for a while to pick my holdback gals, but after that there may be some looking for homes in the next few months.

These guys are from J & J ' s Willamette Valley Rodentry 's show and hairless lines! I brought them in on transport this spring and I'm beggining to see the first generation of pups grow up. Dominant hairless is an old favorite gene of mine that's not stuck in my mousery yet, despite having access to it twice before(third time's the charm!), so I'm excited to give it another go. Apaloosa is a new one for me, and an unexpected(pleasant) surprise. I'll be doing some test pairings to see if I can figure out how it works.

These two texels have STOLEN my heart♥️. We have some very soft, squishy, sweet blue/blue roan gals here, from a recent Teddy Bear Line litter. I bred one of my more densely coated(but anxious) males with a very sweet female who's coat was scrappy in comparison. Both of these gals ended up with the sweetness from mom AND the coat density of dad --a victory, indeed ✨️.

Hello everyone, quick update on Available mice for ya!

I have a good sized group of ladies I plan to make available here soon, but I'll probably wait to officially adopt them out for another 1-2 weeks. I just got done with a driving-heavy multi-day family trip(it was very fun, drove through washington!) And now I want to take a few days to take a vacation from my vacation 😅. I also want to look everyone over to make sure they're good after being away for a bit, especially considering how hot it got this last week while I was gone. Apparently it reached 106°, and although my petsitter kept waters filled and the AC on, it's still not been the most comfortable temperature for them.

I will be posting them here and on youtube once I'm comfortable sending em out! Those of you who are waiting, just keep an eye out for that post in a bit over a week. I'll try and text who I can as well✨️
