Have you got an itch that you can’t ignore, and can only be satisfied by owning a short little dog with an awkward smile and gently wagging tail? If so, it’s time to give in to temptation and say hello to your best friend, Ivory. Perhaps we’re bias, but Ivory is the best dog. Ever. She’s snuggly, calm, playful, and so adorable that we take time out of our closing routine to tuck her into bed with her toy and a treat before clocking out. Ivory loves a soft bed and cozy blanket but in her eyes a lap is the best place for a nap - squishy, self heating, AND comes with a complimentary massage? Sign her up immediately and enjoy her soft rumbling snore.
Though Ivory was found as a stray and we don’t know her full history, we know enough about her to love her and honestly we will be jealous of whoever adopts her. She is neutral with other dogs and was found with another dog. As she is a generally low to moderate energy dog will little prey drive, she could likely live with cats after a slow and thoughtful introduction. She’s always gentle, sweet, and polite so kids would likely be okay in her books as long as they don’t mind rubbing her belly and accepting kisses on occasion. Ivory walks well on leash, she’s slow and often stops to sniff or throw herself to the ground to roll about and be silly for a moment or two - our volunteers have compared walking her to walking with a toddler.
