🧡Meet Penny!!!🧡
Approximately 1.5 years old, 40 lbs, and absolutely drop dead gorgeous. This sweet Catahoula mix is equal parts cuddle bug and adventure buddy. She’s crate trained, housebroken, great on leash, and ready to be someone’s one-and-only.

Beautiful, loving, and ready for her forever person. Could that be you?

Today we are cheering on River.

When River’s mom adopted her, she was a quiet, meek dog. But the moment she got to her new home, River immediately hopped into her new doggie bed and made herself comfortable.

Ever since then, River has been a best friend to everyone she knows. She loves going to work with her mom, and she’s made great friends with the instructors and other pups at doggie day care.

Her mom described her as sweet, comforting, and quiet. Anyone who meets her falls in love. And who could resist that face?!

River was recently diagnosed with oral melanoma. Thanks to a grant from FETCH a Cure, she can get treatment and fight the disease.

You got this, River!

Sadly our shelter has had an outbreak of parvo. Larry was sent to the ER today for hospitalization and is getting the best care possible. He should be discharged Saturday and we really need a foster home for him to recover in. If you’re interested in fostering but have other dogs they need to be vaccinated as Parvo is HIGHLY contagious. Ideally he’d be able to recover somewhere without any other dogs, but if you have other vaccinated dogs and are able to keep him separate that would work as well.

Even if you cannot foster long term 4-6 weeks would be a tremendous help and not only give Larry the best possible chance of recovery, but also limit the chance of exposure to the other dogs at the shelter.

Here is a great article about parvo for those that may not be familiar with it.

A huge thank you to Ring Dog Rescue for covering Larry’s ER treatment.
