This is what veterinary care looks like around here. 😂🩷

Sometimes I’m sitting on your living room floor filling out paperwork. Sometimes your cat is walking across my notes. Sometimes your dog decides the appointment is actually just an opportunity for us to cuddle.

And honestly? I love it.

One of my favorite things about house calls is getting to meet pets where they’re most comfortable. No waiting room. No car ride for the pet who hates the car. No trying to convince a terrified cat to come out of the carrier.

Just veterinary care at home — where life is already happening. 🐾

It may not always look glamorous, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🩷

I thought it was about time I officially introduced myself! 🩷

I’m Jess — veterinarian, wife, moto mom to two wild boys, and the person behind Vet on the Go.

I grew up on a farm in Abbeville, SC, and I’ve been a veterinarian for over 10 years — almost a decade of that caring for pets and families right here in the Chapin area. After years of practicing in a traditional clinic, I decided it was time to do something a little different — bringing veterinary care directly to my patients at home — and Vet on the Go came to life! 🚗🐾

When I’m not caring for your pets, I’m usually pampering my Frenchie, Lola, spending time at the lake, or cheering on my boys at the motocross track or baseball field. We also have my horse, Lady, and our cat, Deegan. 🐴🐱

I met my husband, Neil, in Edisto (still one of my favorite places ❤️), and somewhere along the way we ended up with two wild boys, Thomas and Briggs, and a life that is rarely boring. 😂

I love being a veterinarian, but one of my favorite parts has always been getting to know the people attached to the pets, too. Starting Vet on the Go has given me the chance to do more of that — just in your living room, driveway, barn, or wherever your pet happens to be most comfortable.

So that’s a little about me. 🩷

And yes, Lola fully believes she is the actual face of Vet on the Go. 😂

Vet on the Go is adding something new! 🐾🐴🐶🐱

I’ve spent the last few days in Florida at Chi University continuing my training in veterinary acupuncture for dogs, cats, and horses. ❤️

I’m excited to eventually be able to offer acupuncture as another option for my patients — especially those dealing with arthritis and chronic pain, neurologic conditions, mobility issues, and other conditions where integrative medicine may be helpful.

There’s still plenty for me to learn, but I couldn’t resist sharing a few pictures from this weekend.

This weekend I had the chance to work hands-on with both horses and dogs, and I’m hoping to complete my certification this December! 🤞💕
