NO, WE CANNOT TAKE YOUR KITTY.
A reply we never wanted to write…
With heavy hearts, we need to be honest with our supporters and surrounding communities.
For years, Percy’s Angelic Cat Rescue has done everything possible to say “yes” to cats and kittens in need. We have taken in the sick, the injured, the abandoned, the orphaned, and the forgotten. No matter the circumstances, we found a way.
Today, we must face reality.
We simply do not have enough foster homes, volunteers, or financial support to continue taking in every cat or kitten that needs help.
Every cat that enters our rescue requires food, litter, vaccines, deworming, flea prevention, microchipping, spay or neuter surgery, veterinary care, transportation, and most importantly, a safe place to stay while waiting for a forever home. We can often find ways to cover the medical care and supplies, but we cannot create foster homes where none exist. 💔
Our rescue is powered entirely by volunteers. Many of us work full-time jobs, care for families, and manage our own responsibilities while trying to save as many lives as possible. Unfortunately, the number of active volunteers and foster homes continues to decline while requests for help continue to grow.
At the same time, donations are at some of the lowest levels we have ever seen. Veterinary costs, food, litter, medications, and everyday expenses continue to rise. We have reached a point where we need to close intake completely.
We do not want to say no.
But rescue cannot happen without people willing to step forward.
If you have ever thought about fostering, volunteering, transporting cats, helping at adoption events, or making a donation, NOW is the time!
✨ Did you know our page has nearly 1,800 followers?
Imagine if every follower donated just $1 per month.
That would be $1,800 every month for the cats.
That would help cover spay and neuter surgeries, vaccines, emergency medical care, food, litter, and supplies for countless cats and kittens who otherwise have nowhere to go.
Just $1 a month.
One dollar may not seem like much, but together it could change everything.
Please help us continue saying “yes” to cats in need.
Please donate if you can. Please volunteer if you have time. Please foster if you have space. And if you cannot do those things, please SHARE this post!
Because every share reaches someone who may be the person that saves a life.
It takes a village.
Right now, the cats need theirs. 🐾🏡🐾🏡🐾
