We are Border Collie Rescue & Rehab

We are a network of volunteer foster homes, which means all dogs adopted through us come from loving, caring homes straight to you. Since we don't use a holding facility, our dogs come to their new homes calm, relaxed, and ready for a new life, rather than being nervous and traumatized from the noise and chaos of a shelter. We evaluate, rescue and rehabilitate

abandoned Border Collies, as well as other herding breeds, and find homes that will love and cherish them forever. All of our dogs have been fully vetted to include all vaccinations, heartworm test (and treatment, if necessary), spay/neuter, and a microchip with Border Collie Rescue & Rescue contact information. Upon adoption, you will be provided with physical proof of all treatments and veterinary reports, along with a rabies tag and chip information. We will never withhold any information about any animal, and are happy to disclose exactly where we got our dogs from, and when. Our dogs have been temperament tested, and reside in foster homes with families who are active and diverse - just like yours! Our dogs are crate trained and housebroken, and have received training in basic obedience using only positive reinforcement techniques such as leading, shaping, R+, and counter-conditioning. We believe a rescued dog brings experiences with them when they are rescued and with our loving rehabilitation they become perfect lifetime partners. Their backgrounds may vary - from breeders, to farm dogs, to strays - but all of them deserve the unconditional love that they will be glad to give their new families. We bring them into our homes and rehabilitate them by providing them with love, structure and routine. We mend wounds and clean them up both emotionally and physically. We know you have many choices of rescues to choose from. However, we believe once you get to know us, you will find our rescue family to be the perfect match for you and your family.

Boots is a LOVER! This 2 year old, 36 pound, neutered, healthy boy is up to date on all vetting and vaccinations and ready to be yours! He loves to cuddle up next to you or lay his head by yours at night. He does crate well but also does well outside of the crate. He walks on the leash well and will come when called if off leash. He loves to play with his foster brother - throw a ball and he is all about it. Want to tug? Bring it on! He is great with kids. Boots should not live in a home with cats. At BCRRT, finding the right fit for your family matters just as much as finding a dog a home. ❤️

After asking about another dog, Chino’s family received an email about her instead—and looking back, it feels like it was meant to be. She has become a loved, loyal, and protective part of the family.

When Chino came home, she had two senior dogs to show her the ropes: Pippa, a BCRR alum, and Marley, a Border Collie/Dalmatian mix. They taught her to guard the house, patrol the yard, and make the bedtime rounds every night. Even though they’ve since passed, Chino still keeps up the routine between belly rubs and naps. 🐾

Her family has now adopted two dogs through BCRRT and says every foster pup is clearly loved and well cared for while they are looking for their forever home!
