Amanda | Owner & Groomer | The Heart Behind Spot

Amanda is the heart and soul of Spot, with over 20 years in pet care and a lifelong love for dogs that shines through in everything she does. From grooming to running the salon, she truly does a little bit of everything—and does it with purpose.

As a groomer, Amanda’s passion lies in earning each dog’s trust, especially those who are nervous or struggling with fear-based behaviors. She has a special gift for helping pups feel safe and showing them that grooming doesn’t have to be scary. As an owner, she finds just as much joy in watching her team grow, both professionally and personally.

A self-proclaimed terrier lover, Amanda enjoys de-sheds (because let’s be honest… so satisfying) and has a soft spot for training puppies. Her favorite moment in any appointment is seeing the final result—when all the hard work comes together.

She’s also big on education and advocacy, reminding pet parents that grooming is more than just looks—it’s a skilled trade focused on your pet’s health, safety, and comfort. Her advice? Trust your groomer—we truly want what’s best for your pup.

At home, Amanda has a full crew: Gus, her old grumpy Westie, Katy, a sweet Lab mix, Toodles, a very vocal tuxedo cat, and Binx & Pumpkin, two bottle-fed kitties raised with help from the Spot team (and now expert-level cuddle bugs 🐾).

On her perfect day off, you’ll find her poolside with sunshine, good music, and zero stress. A self-described “sunshine afternoon” girl, Amanda runs on determination, a little sarcasm, and a whole lot of heart—usually with true crime playing in the background and Spot’s signature purple vibe all around.

Taylor | Dog Groomer | 4 Years in Pet Care

Taylor has been working in pet care for four years, bringing a lifelong love of animals into everything she does. Having grown up around dogs, stepping into a career where she gets to work with them every day just felt like the perfect fit.

What Taylor enjoys most about grooming is seeing each pet’s transformation and the happiness that comes with it—both from the pups and their owners. She takes pride in creating a positive, feel-good experience from start to finish.

One of Taylor’s biggest strengths is her patience, especially when working with nervous or anxious dogs. She has a natural ability to help them feel calm, comfortable, and safe throughout their appointment, making her someone both pets and pet parents can trust.

Her favorite pups to work with are Golden Retrievers, and she especially loves doing full grooms, where she can bring everything together into one polished final look. For Taylor, the best part of every appointment is those final finishing touches—when everything comes together and each dog leaves looking and feeling their absolute best.

Taylor is also passionate about educating pet parents, reminding them that grooming isn’t just about looks—it’s essential for a dog’s health and comfort. Her go-to tip? Regular brushing at home makes a huge difference in preventing matting and keeping pups happy between visits.

Outside of the salon, Taylor spends her time with her one-year-old Border Collie, Walker, who has the cutest habit of kneading his toys like a cat 🐾 She’s an early bird who loves cozy days at home, coffee runs, and a good show, usually with country music or a mystery podcast playing in the background. Described as patient, caring, and hardworking, Taylor brings a calm, cozy energy to everything she does—both in and out of the salon.

Sammy is our Customer Service Manager and has been working in pet care for 9 years. Her love for animals started early—she was always the kid bringing home strays and helping care for every pet she could.

At Spot, Sammy loves connecting with both pups and their people. Whether she’s hearing your adoption stories or laughing about your dog’s latest “naughty” moment, she’s always here to make your experience feel personal and welcoming.

She has a soft spot for doodles, poodles, and shepherds—and puppy appointments are her favorite (because who can resist baby pup snuggles?!).

At home, Sammy is a proud dog mom to DJ, Lottie, and Oakley—plus two cats and two axolotls! She also loves spending time with her three daughters—some of you may have even seen them helping out around the salon from time to time 😊

When she’s not at the salon, you can find her enjoying cozy rainy days with her pups, her kids, a good book, and lots of snuggles.
