We’ve been going here for 20+ years across 5 dogs. Now our doctor is the son of the original vet we started with back in 2006. Tater Tot is a healthy 1 year old. We also discussed longer times before neutering, cancer screenings, and the future of cancer treatments and prevention. So much stuff is happening for dogs, and I know we all wish it was happening faster for them and us alike. We miss Nugget dearly and just wanted to make sure if there was something we could do to give Tater Tot a better chance against the odds we will do it, but for now we are going to keep living our best golden life!

I walk by my daughter and tater tot play fighting. It’s something they started doing kind of recently. I’ve observed it and am not concerned with what I’ve seen and everyone knows the boundaries and the risk and I’ve spent her entire life educating her about dog behavior. As I walk by though Karina says “did you know dogs sneeze when they play fight to alert everyone that there’s no danger?”

I’ve been around dogs my entire life. I know A LOT of facts, but I’ve never heard that, and I’m skeptical. Well color me surprised that she was not just making stuff up!

If your dog sneezes during playtime, it is usually a harmless behavior called "play sneezing". Dogs frequently do this as a social cue to communicate that they are having fun, are not being aggressive, or to release excess excitement.
