I’m really excited about this pairing. Both Athena and Jagr are clear, social dogs
with great temperaments and a genuine love for working with their handlers.

Athena is very much a female version of Jagr, and they share many of the same qualities. Both have high ball/toy drive, strong food drive, plenty of speed and athleticism, and are environmentally stable and confident. They have a happy attitude toward their work and are always eager to engage with their handlers.

Athena brings a methodical, focused approach to tracking. In protection, she shows strong, rhythmic barking, impressive speed and intensity, and solid gripping behavior. In obedience, she’s open, engaged, and eager to work with her handler.

Jagr brings a powerful combination of eagerness, strong hunt drive, resilience, and exceptional gripping ability. His pronounced fighting spirit is balanced by an open, joyful approach in obedience, showcasing his willingness to work, engage with his handler, and give his all in every task.

I expect this to be a fun, sporty litter with clear temperaments, high biddability, strong food and toy drive, and plenty of speed and athleticism. I see potential for a variety of working and sport homes, depending on each puppy’s individual temperament and drives.

This is a pairing I’m genuinely excited about, and I’m looking forward to seeing what these two produce together. My goal is to raise dogs that are fun to live with, enjoyable to train, and capable of becoming great partners for their handlers/families, whether in sport, work, or an active home.

Now that the dust has settled and the photos have come in, I’m proud to finally share our Regionals success.

I told myself last year would be Anya’s last. But something in me and something in her said otherwise.

Late June, we stepped back onto the IGP field to have some fun, and I could see it. That light in her eyes was still burning. She had more left to give, and I wasn’t ready to close that chapter.

July brought a long hospital stay and some rough weeks personally. By August, it was crunch time. We poured an insane amount of work into her tracking. I know what it took to build that performance, and nobody can take that work away from us. Seeing it help carry us to first place made it all that much sweeter.

In protection, she brought the performance I know and love. And in obedience… silly me thought a trained dog was a trained dog. Anya had a few opinions of her own and was feeling pretty damn good about herself. 🤣

She walked onto that field like it was any other training day confident, happy, and completely herself. I couldn’t be prouder of the dog beside me or the work we put in to get here.

She doesn’t know what she accomplished. But I do.

How do you decide when they’re all this beautiful? 😍

This bunch is absolutely conquering the great outdoors. Confident, curious, playful, and just a little bit troublesome. Nothing seems to faze these puppies they approach everything with confidence and a whole lot of personality.

We still have a few spots available in this litter, including male and female sable puppies for the right homes.

Week Four 🤍

Four weeks old and the personalities are officially making themselves known. These puppies are opinionated, confident, and very enthusiastic about mealtime with some seriously impressive appetites already!

They’re becoming more adventurous by the day, confidently exploring the house, discovering new spaces, and enthusiastically taking an interest in their toys. Yet despite all their newfound independence, they still absolutely love climbing onto people, being held, and settling in for some quality time.

It’s always exciting to watch these individual temperaments unfold as they mature.

We still have a female 💕 available. And, thanks to the long coats present in this litter, we now also have the possibility of a long coated male becoming available.

2.5 Weeks 🤎

Two and a half weeks old already and these little guys are absolutely thriving! Everyone is gaining, eating like champs, getting mobile, and starting to explore new toys and their ever growing world around them.

They are also VERY into being held which, of course, we have absolutely no complaints about. 🥹

I’m completely obsessed with the pigment, bone, and heads on this litter. I can’t wait to watch these little potatoes continue to unfold.

👀 And… we have some LONG COATS in the box! Can you guess who? 👀
