The world lost "more" than a dog today. Boulder was one of a kind. He has been a steady faithful and gentle companion for 13 years. He walked beside me, guided our training growth, he acted as my own hand.
Boulder was the patriarch to many beautiful puppies and he will be missed. He was a gentleman in every way, he was regal, and intelligent. He was fair as an alpha and constructive to/with other dogs learning around him and from him.
My grandkids grew up with Boulder teaching them boundaries and making memories. He taught the kids how to walk on a leash ๐คฃ๐คฃ, he pulled them in the sled, he guided and herded them as little kids to keep them from harm and from trouble ...Boulder, you were always a steady presence and you have ALWAYS been loved.
Boulder was also well known at the memory care unit where we spent time bonding with the elderly. He marched proudly in parades, showed up for career days at the local schools, plenty of local events and always sat with great posture and crossed front paws. Boulder was well known in and around the community and loved by everyone he ever met. ๐พ ๐พ
Boulder always loved to work the crowd, human or canine. He loved to have a job, he was the best at it. He will be sorely missed. He is irreplaceable, as earlier mentioned, he was one of a kind.
Boulder always loved to lean into anyone that he felt close to or that would scratch his ears and rub his head; it was his *HUG.
There aren't words to express how sad we are and how much we will miss him. Rest in the light with the Lord Boulder. Good dog. We were all truly lucky you were with us.
If you are lucky enough to own any of his offsprings/progeny, then you are a living testament of the most amazing temperament, personality and companionship that he passed on to his pups. If you are fortunate to have any pup from his lineage, or have a photo or a story, could you please leave a picture, or a testimonial of how Boulder or his pups changed or had an effect in your life? Again, we ask, please share pictures and testimonials in the comments.
He was the most regal, honorable, loyal, protective, honest, loving, kind, compassionate, intuitive, solid rock, patient and persistent, handsome dog I have ever owned and known.
He was the dominant leader of my pack. He led with a firm but gentle, kind and fair demeanor and taught so many life lessons to others. His mere presence could calm anxiety, aggression, and fear in many a dog and also in many humans; including me. Not only did he give me help he gave me purpose, and for that I will be forever grateful and forever blessed and honored that he was placed in my life!
Though he is no longer here with us, he lives on in spirit through his pups, grand pups and great grand pups; but most of all in our hearts and in our treasured memories and stories.
Rest in peace, honorable Boulder... Rest in peace
