Officially zoned to groom out of a mobile grooming unit! I do need to generate a bit of cashflow to get that started up as it’s a little higher than a studio build-out and hope to resume seeing furry friends after the 6th. I have had some interest and an interview with local shops but nothing has panned out yet. The Salem area is blessed to have lots of groomers right now. A far cry from the severe lack of groomers where I’m from.

Once upon a 20 years ago, someone in Salem was charged with animal cruelty (puppy mill maybe?) After that, the city decided NO pet related business qualified for a permit within residential areas. (Thanks) So, I am looking for a local shop to join on a part-time basis so I can still meet all your sweet pets! If you have any connections with a shop you’ve used and loved, feel free to send me their name. 🙂 🐾🐶🛁✂️

YOUR HELP NEEDED‼
With the upcoming severe winter weather, the shelter needs your help in fostering dogs during the next few days. Our goal is to find fosters for 20 shelter dogs. By short -term fostering dogs during the possible snowstorm, you will help keep dogs safe and warm in case of impassable roads for shelter employees. You may pick up a dog Sunday, January 5th from 10am - 12pm. Return dogs Wednesday, January 8th by 3:30pm to the shelter. Questions? Text or call 304-544-5891.
