Hi, I’m Justina! 👋🐾
Prison guard → parole officer → nonprofit case manager → pet sitting business owner.
My story definitely isn’t linear. There have been plenty of bumps and unexpected turns along the way, but I’m so happy they brought me here.
If you’ve been around Prior Lake for a while, you might recognize me from my serving and bartending days at Sul Lago. At the time, I was working there for some extra cash while also working full-time at a nonprofit.
After years of corrections, case management, and paperwork, I knew I needed a change. And honestly? I wanted to spend more time with my Shih Tzu, Neville. 😂
So I quit my day job with a very simple plan: walk dogs during the day and work at the restaurant at night while I figured out what my next 9–5 would be.
Except…the dogs took over.
What was supposed to be an in-between job quickly snowballed into full-time work. Then I needed help. Then more help. And somewhere along the way, this little dog-walking gig turned into an incredible community of pet owners throughout Prior Lake, Savage, and Shakopee.
Today, I share my home with Neville and Lela 🐶, Batman, Robin, and Alfred 🐱, and Rain the bunny 🐰.
And we can’t forget the humans.
My husband, Drew, is truly the backbone of this operation—keeping me fed and in clean clothes, holding down the home front, and homeschooling our two incredible kids while I run around building this crazy thing. ❤️
And then there’s our team. Many of you know them from the updates they send, and some of you have been lucky enough to meet them in person. We genuinely have the best team around, and this business simply wouldn’t be what it is without them.
What started with one woman who wanted to hang out with dogs instead of doing paperwork has now grown into a business that has cared for pets from more than 900 local families.
That number still feels a little wild.
