While we love caring for our patients, this field does not come without its hardships. It's important to remember to always treat your Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Customer Service Representatives with respect and kindness.

Not One More Vet is the leader in veterinary mental health. Our organization provides outreach, peer support, and educational resources to help veterinary professionals thrive.

Today marks 2 years of having Julia apart of our team at Scott Lake. If you bring your pets to Scott Lake, it is very likely that Julia has either helped you over the phone or greeted you at the front desk. She is a rockstar when it comes to balancing phone calls, emails, and serving clients in person! Believe it or not, she is our youngest staff member, but she serves our clients like she has been doing it for many years! We are so thankful to have her. Help us wish her a Happy Anniversary!

A common question we hear is, 'Why is my dog constantly licking and chewing at his paws?' The most likely answer is allergies.

Allergies in dogs can be environmental, typically following a seasonal pattern (spring, summer, or fall), or they can be allergic to their food, which will likely affect them all year. Finding the cause is key to treating the pet appropriately.

Thankfully, there are plenty of options for allergies, and we are happy to help! Our goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible.

Today is Heather’s Anniversary! She has been at Scott Lake for 3 years, but she has been passionate about Vet Med for far longer! We have been so lucky to have her at the clinic. She recently became a mom to two very sweet orange kitties in March, and she has been enjoying Winston and Mable’s shenanigans ever since! No… the photos are not of the same kitty, although they seem to share a single brain cell at times. According to Heather, they do have an extensive vocabulary and love to share their opinions rather loudly at times. Help us wish Heather a Happy Anniversary!
