At All Creatures, we provide trusted care, exceptional medicine, and compassion you can feel, supporting pets and their people with clarity, empathy, and expert medical insight for more happy days together. After completing his undergraduate studies at Penn State University and a Master’s degree at Texas A&M University, Dr. Bill Streit graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in the spring of 1986. In 2001, Dr. Streit opened All Creatures Veterinary Clinic, Inc. in the Princeton Shopping Center with 5 employees. The practice grew phenomenally thanks primarily to client referrals and moved to its current 6,000 square foot location in the spring of 2010. In addition to the previous diagnostic capabilities, the facility provides space for a digital dental x-ray unit and an ultrasound unit in the newly dedicated June B. Johnson Advanced Diagnostic Suite. The clinic currently employs a staff of 24 and serves as a vetting, treatment and holding facility for the Southern WV Animal League, as well as other local non-profit animal rescue organizations.

This week, we had a chance to care for the people who spend their days caring for your pets.

We celebrated Veterinary Technician Week with lunches, small gifts and a well-deserved thank-you to our technicians and assistants. These are the people who offer a gentle touch when your pet feels unsure, pay close attention to the smallest changes, and bring skill and kindness to each step of their care.

Seeing these smiles means a lot. We know how much heart goes into the work behind them.

Thank you to Antech Diagnostics for treating our team to Chick-fil-A! We also enjoyed a clinic-sponsored Teriyaki Madness lunch as another way to show our appreciation.

As we wrap up the week, our gratitude continues. To our technicians and assistants: you help make exceptional medicine and compassion something our patients and their families can feel.

Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Kayla
Kayla has always had a heart for animals and a deep appreciation for the unconditional love they bring to our lives. She strives to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in our care.

Outside of the clinic, Kayla enjoys spending time with her two children, helping on the family farm, and making memories with her beloved pets, Yuma and Jimothy.

Blue Heelers hold an especially special place in her heart. Her cherished companion, Tuff, was by her side through many of life's most important moments, and the bond they shared continues to inspire the compassion and understanding she brings to every animal she meets.

Kayla hopes to continue growing in veterinary medicine and one day become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Until then, she's committed to treating every pet as if they were her own because she knows they're not just pets, they're family.

We're grateful to have Kayla as part of the All Creatures family.💙🐾

Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Aboni
Aboni has loved animals for as long as she can remember and is excited to begin her journey in veterinary medicine.

As one of the newest members of the All Creatures Veterinary Clinic team, she brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn everything she can about caring for animals. She hopes to continue growing in the field and eventually pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

At home, Aboni spends time with Luna, her Pit Bull mix, and Loki, her axolotl. She especially enjoys training Luna and learning more about animal behavior and care.

When she's not at the clinic, you'll find her crocheting, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her pets.

We're excited to be part of Aboni's veterinary journey and can't wait to see where her passion for animal care takes her! 💙🐾

Animals have always been at the heart of Tyme's life. From caring for pets with chronic medical conditions to helping special-needs and disabled animals thrive, she has seen firsthand the patience, dedication, and love that exceptional animal care requires.

As a Veterinary Assistant at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic, Tyme is passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives while supporting the families who love them. Her personal experiences caring for animals with medical challenges help her connect with pet owners who may be facing similar journeys.

When she's not at the clinic, Tyme enjoys photography, painting, hiking, caring for her growing collection of plants, and spending time with her many animal companions. Her experience extends far beyond cats and dogs and includes everything from horses and goats to reptiles, fish, rabbits, and more!

Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Alisha & Isabella
Today we’re celebrating two amazing members of our treatment team!

Alisha joined All Creatures in 2026 after working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Virginia. Born and raised here in Mercer County, she brings 15 years of experience, a Bachelor’s and Master’s from WVU, and a Veterinary Technologist degree from Penn Foster. She’s excited to be back home, serving the people and pets of our community with empathy, compassion, and the steady confidence that comes from years of dedicated care.

Isabella is a student‑athlete at Bluefield University, where she studies Biology and competes on the softball team. Her leadership, communication, and teamwork skills shine through in everything she does. She shares her life with five beloved dogs — Leia, Lainey, Butterscotch, Chewie, and Nala — who helped spark her lifelong passion for animal care. After graduation, she plans to attend veterinary school and pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

Annie has been part of the All Creatures family for more than two decades, and her kindness, steadiness, and deep love for our patients shine through in everything she does. She’s passionate about building relationships with pets and their families, and she brings a calm, reassuring presence to every visit. We’re so grateful for the heart she’s poured into our clinic and our community for so many years.

Michelle, RVT is our head technician and a true advocate for pets with unique medical needs. She’s passionate about surgery, dentistry, and helping families care for pets with chronic illnesses or disabilities — work she understands deeply through her own special‑needs crew at home. Happy Feel‑Good Friday!

Some pets don’t just walk into the clinic — they fill it.
Rufus came in with that big Bernese smile, the kind that makes you stop for a second and feel your whole mood lift. There’s something about these gentle giants… the softness in their eyes, the sweetness in their expression, the way they look at you like you’re already their friend.

He brought so much joy to our team, and we hope his happy face brings a little extra brightness to your Friday too. 💙🐾

This barred owl’s story is a reminder of how much quiet heroism happens in our community every day.

He was found sitting in the middle of the road — dazed, injured, and unable to fly. A kind DNR agent drove him all the way from Wyoming County so he could get the care he needed. When he arrived, he had a concussion, a damaged beak, and a droopy left eye from the impact.

We stabilized him, treated his injuries, and made sure he was safe and comfortable before transferring him to our partners at Three Rivers Avian Center https://tracwv.org/ for specialized rehabilitation.

And the best part?
They report that he’s recovering well. 🦉💙

Wildlife medicine is a team effort — from the person who stops to help, to the DNR agent who transports, to the rehab experts who continue the work. We’re grateful to be part of that circle of care.
