✨Time to introduce our special guest!✨
Our special guest at the anniversary this year is The Hammered Spoon! Tonya is an incredibly talented artist that makes so many beautiful works, by hand -- Not to mention, she is a total gem!

She will be set up all day during the anniversary with a wonderful selection of hand made silver pieces, all made from silver cutlery -- rings, necklaces, hat clips, belt clips, bells, and more! Pick out a beautiful pre-made piece or choose your own to be made custom!

Yesterday afternoon my father passed away...

While we’ve been preparing for the anniversary, we have known this moment would come. I knew when we were sharing our story that I wanted to include a specific post for Pop...so I figure today is the day..

Since before day one, my Dad has been right by my side, our sides, in everything that we did, even if he thought ‘selling tie dye and spiders’ was pretty wild. He was always quick to jump in his truck and be where ever he needed to be, and do whatever needed to be done. He painted walls, rewired our lighting, installed appliances, hung drywall, moved fixtures, all getting prepared for our new business. He helped us get into our new home when we unexpectedly had to move right after we opened our shop. Sometimes he would surprise us by mowing our grass at the house when things got busy, just so we didn’t have to think about it. He was always making sure that we were taken care of, in all of his ways. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without him, or my mother for that matter. He was always so excited to guess our daily totals, always shooting under and always being so proud of whatever that number was. He knew that our ideas were big, but that we had the drive, the interest, the community, and the support to pull it off, so he never worried.

I don’t really know exactly what to say right now, other than thank you, Pop. Our lives will be pretty different without you, but my heart is so filled with gratitude. Thank you for being such an example in my life of hard work, determination, and love. You are forever ingrained into our lives and I’m forever grateful to have known you – honored to be a ‘Gene Fields kid’!

I just want to thank all of YOU too, for your continued love and support. Some of you have known what was going on, but we have tried to keep things moving as best as we can. Ever since I was little, my Dad was always saying “TCOB!” Take care of business! So that’s exactly what we’ve been doing...it’s what he wanted! Things are going to be a little different this year for the anniversary, we may not have everything finished exactly as we wanted, but we are still doing our best to make some beautiful new art for the big day. We appreciate all of your patience, love, and support and look forward to seeing you all next weekend – love you guys, whole bunch🩵

Our 6-Year Anniversary is October 31st and we’re STILL busy preparing for the BIG DAY! Our anniversary each year is not only a celebration, but a way to say ‘THANK YOU’ to all of you that have helped us make it this far!

⚠️⚠️We will be CLOSED 10.28 - 10.30 so that we can prepare for the big event! For the past couple weeks we have been sharing a little part of our story AND giving an opportunity to WIN NeeDoh – this week we’re switching things up a little bit!

We’re asking for a little favor, but we’ll still keep it simple! Instead of a question, you’ll have a task! This drawing is for Wednesday’s question this week – What tarantula species did Brian pair for the very first time? Was it a Curly Hair tarantula? Maybe a Brachypelma Smithi? Gooty Sapphire, Tliltocatl vagans, OBT?? – 67 of you gave us your best guesses... so who’s it gonna be??

This was a tricky one and no one actually got the right answer, but that’s ok! The first tarantula species Brian ever bred successfully was the Aphonopelma Seemanni, also known as the Stripe-Knee tarantula – Momma Seemanni had 495 healthy spiderlings!
