🐾 Wishlist Wednesday 🐾

The shelter desperately needs kitten and adult wet cat food, litter, and pellets for litterboxes. We are also almost always in need of dry adult dog food and puppy chow. If you can help, you can bring donations by the shelter OR have them shipped/delivered to us at 961 Shelter Rd in Princeton. Our updated Amazon wishlist is pinned at the top of our page.

🐾 Adoption Success Story of the Day 🐾

"One year ago, we brought our sweet Maggie home from your shelter, and we wanted to share how she’s doing.

Maggie arrived at the shelter with several of her siblings after they were left there in kennels. We learned that her kennel had even been hit by the people who dropped her off as they drove away. It breaks our hearts to think about how her story began, but the moment we met her, it was love at first sight.

Today, Maggie is living her best life. She visits the lake, goes on boat rides, joins us for hikes, and is loved beyond words. She has brought so much happiness into our home, and we’re grateful we found each other.

Thank you for caring for Maggie until she became part of our family. Please feel free to share her story so others can see what a wonderful life a shelter dog can have.

BISSELL ends TODAY,
so now’s the time to act!
Come find your favorite furry menace
before the fees go back.

Today’s the FINAL day of BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters event! Dog adoption fees are $25; cats are $10. FREE microchipping with adoption. We'll return to regular adoption fees tomorrow. Stop by and see us this afternoon! We’ll be open from 12-6 PM. 🐾

It's that time of year: we are asking the public for dog houses. 🏡
They do NOT need to be new ones or anything. If you have dog houses that you don't use, please consider donating them to Mercer County Animal Shelter. The colder months are creeping in, and we try to keep them stocked for those who may need them this winter.
Have one to donate but no way to bring it to the shelter? Give us a call! Depending on where/how far you live, we may be able to come pick them up from you.
No need to clean them out before donating, either—we can scrub them down ourselves.
Help us give back to those in need this fall and winter by recycling your old dog houses. 🫶🏼
