🐾✂️ Why Some Dogs’ Nails Still Look Long After a Nail Trim 🐾

“Why do the nails still look long?” — and the answer is sometimes simply because the quick (the blood vessel inside the nail) is very long.

In these photos, you can see a dark/black spot inside the nail. This is an indication that the quick is very close to the end of the nail, which means we cannot safely take off more length at that moment, even though the nail may still visually appear long.

The quick can gradually recede with regular nail trims, allowing us to safely shorten the nails little by little over time. ✂️🐶

So please keep in mind: shorter-looking nails don’t always mean we can safely cut more. Our priority will always be your pup’s safety and comfort. ❤️

Please allow 24–48 hours for a response, depending on my availability. I answer messages in the order they are received, while giving priority to my regular clients who are already on our schedule.

Why Are Some Dogs Anxious About Grooming? 🐶✂️

Have you ever wondered why some dogs get anxious before or after grooming, while others seem to actually enjoy it?

Dogs can experience anxiety just like humans do. Think about going to the dentist you know you’re safe, but you can still feel nervous. Or flying on an airplane you know it’s safe, but that doesn’t mean you won’t feel anxious. ✈️

For some dogs, grooming can create that same feeling. The sounds of clippers and dryers, being handled, standing still, or simply being in an unfamiliar situation can be overwhelming.

And even though we are mobile, and your dog gets to stay in the comfort of their own home, that doesn’t automatically mean every dog will love grooming. Every dog has a different personality, temperament, and past experiences.

Some dogs naturally enjoy grooming, while others need more time, patience, and reassurance. ❤️

Our goal with mobile grooming isn’t to make every dog love the process. It’s to make them feel safe, respected, and as comfortable as possible while we work with their individual needs.

Because just like people, every dog is different and that’s okay. 🐾
